Chat
From Golden-Road.net FAQ
What commands are available to users in the chat?
Note: do not type the brackets, < and >, when doing commands. For example, where it says <room>, you replace the brackets and "room" with the room name you want to switch to.
/away Sets you as away. If you type it again, it changes your status to "here."
/here Sets you as here (if you've been away or busy).
/busy Sets you as busy. Type it again to set yourself back to "here" (or type /here).
/back Shows you the last entries of the room's chat, including any chat text that was present before arrival to the room.
/backtime Shows you the last minutes of the room's chat, including any chat text that was present before arrival to the room.
/clear Clears the chat screen. This only affects your screen, not the screen of other users.
/me <action> This issues an IRC-like "action" to the chat. "/me" will be changed to your user name, and the text in <action> will appear as a system message (e.g. If logged in as Sally, type in "/me can't predict pricing games if my life depended on it." and it'll come out as "Sally can't predict pricing games if my life depended on it.").
/join <room> Switches you to <room>.
/part Logs you out of the chat.
/quit Logs you out of the chat.
/logout Logs you out of the chat.
/version Shows you which version of the chat you are using.
/invite <user> Invites "user" to the room that you are currently in.
/ignore <user> Ignores "user" until /unignore "user" is issued
/? Display a list of currently available IRC commands.
/sos <message> Alerts moderator in the current room of your message. Message text is optional. Message behaves like an /alert
/names Shows a list of all user names in all public rooms.
When I close the chat window, why does the main forum page show that I'm still logged into the chat?
This is because you didn't log out of the chat properly. This doesn't affect reentry unlike the former SPChat (when Golden-Road.net was powered by PHP Nuke). You just need to click the chat link again and click any other link in the new window other than chat (e.g. Index to go back to the main page, etc.). You should get an additional popup window saying "Logging you out of chat...". That will log you out of the chat and you will no longer show up on the main page as being in chat until you enter the chat again.
