Challenge?  have just acquired episodes of the Joe Pasquale era, WHY!?!?!

They would have been much better going for Leslie Crowther episodes, which were brilliant.

They must be able to get hold of them, after all they've had other Central/Fremantle, etc. owned formats such as Family Fortunes, Blockbusters - all from the same era.

Did Joe just drop an F-bomb in the first video around 2:13?

No.  The phrase is actually "foxy little lady."

Was the Pasquale era after Crowther hosted or before?  Joe Pasquale's voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard.  It's almost like this is the TNPIR '94 of the UK with the video wall and all.  I also find it interesting that Money Game is called Half & Half in this version.

After.  Just a few years ago, in fact.

Joe Pasquale's voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Oh, you're being far too kind there.  I've described his voice before as "a guy whose balls are stuck in a vice."

Leslie Crowther: 24th March 1984 - 7th April 1988
Bruce Forsyth: 4 September 1995 - May 2001
Joe Pasquale: 8 May 2006 - January 2007

Figured I'd help you out.

Yes the UK went back to the eighties after reaching the obvious 2000's

Bob Warman: 1989

I liked that version, as well. It proves that a show can be enjoyable and fun without a large budget (Lingo GSN, in its first two or three seasons). Besides, they stuck to what worked in the Crowther era and used the USA music and opening.

And yet that 1989 Sky One version only ran for 30 episodes - yes, SIX WEEKS. Doug Davidson got more episodes than Warman, which is shocking.

Oh, you're being far too kind there.  I've described (Joe's) voice before as "a guy whose balls are stuck in a vice".

He made fun of the contestants and the prizes played for in the Premiere's "Swap" were a "beer buggy" and a "dress man" - and neither got better aside from going an hour long.

A rare post in this forum for me.
