That Double Prices setup was just nasty--only a couple hundred dollars difference between the two prices.

$7000 in Plinko sure wasn't a bad haul back then--that would probably be like winning $12 or $13,000 today.

Less nasty in 1983 than it would be now. Then again, Squeeze Play also has a couple hundred dollars difference between the price choices. Heck, Pick a Number has less than ten dollars between the two price choices when the ones digit is the missing number.

It isn't all that funny, but my guess is that daryy probably finds funny that Fay bid a mere $1,200 on her showcase.

The other, less likely, possibility is that daryy was laughing at the price of the Corvette, which was way, way up there in price, at the time.
