Unique bids a palindromic $28,082....

DING(applause)

Now, GoldenBulldog, take a look at your showcase!

(Pomp & Circumstance)(door #2 opens)

GoldenBullog, your showcase is a salute to that great member of our staff, Frank15!

And contains prizes associated with him! It contains prizes and not people associated with him since most of us are ashamed of being associated with him! Yes, Frank is the most eccentric out of an already-eccentric staff, which is kind of surprising when you realize where he comes from, a truly lovely city, a city you'll be going to, New Orleans!

(applause)(Dian models plasma)

You and a guest will fly round trip coach from Los Angeles to New Orleans for a six-night stay including limo pickup, two tickets to a show, and dinner for two, courtesy of Harrah's New Orleans casino and hotel. Get the action started and receive high roller treatment; steps from the historic French Quarter and some of the finest restaurants in the world. For a trip like no other, so come on down, y'all, from Harrah's New Orleans!

Now we don't mean to imply, but Frank isn't talented. He hosts shows in this forum and he has other hidden talents, some of them extremely well-hidden. Nonetheless it may interest you to know that he is an accomplished pianist, as seen here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1e5dqfVcaA

At least it should interest you because here's a new piano!

(door #1 opens)(applause)(Holly models it)

Roland's HPi-6S Digital Piano takes the fun and enjoyment of making music at home to new levels. The compact-yet-classy styling cabinet with front legs looks great in any space, and a 4-speaker sound system that fully delivers a realistic piano experience. With a wide color LCD, Digiscore notation and "Visual Lesson" feature, the HPi-6S makes learning music at home fun and rewarding for all ages!

Now Frank is obsessed with his Chevrolet Cavalier, having once promised that he never would sell it. Well, they don't make Cavaliers anymore but they do make...Cobalts!

(flat slides away)(wild cheers and applause)(Janice models them)

A pair of 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS sedans! Each comes with standard features plus anti-lock brakes and Weather Protection Package!

And now we get to Frank's greatest obsession and his finest achievement, at least according to Frank. You see Frank got his hosting job at Golden-Road.net by showing Marc Green and John Sly a new anvil-themed pricing game. And with typical delusions of grandeur, Frank had several thousand forged. Well, we've got to get rid of them somehow; so as a special bonus, is an anvil engraved by Frank15 himself!

And GoldenBulldog, this showcase, a salute to that great member of our staff, Frank15, can be yours if The Price is Right!

(applause)

Please don't include the anvil when bidding, that is only a bonus. I want you to look all of that over, Bulldog, and give me your bid!

Well, I knew it was coming, and so I can't say any of it shocks me, but I still find it really cool :D!

And I actually did edit my name onto the anvil. You all probably could've guessed with my regular graphics that I suck with shading.

Bulldog bids $44,582

DING(applause)

(2007 main theme)

UniquePerspective has bid $28,082. We will check the actual retail prices of both these showcases when we return, but first I want you all to take a look at the first car ever won on our show, by Garvin8r back on episode #2, during Pass the Buck:

He wants number 4, and I discover that we have...

(dingdingdingdingdingdingdingding)(wild cheers and applause)

You have the car! I assume you want to quit?

(main theme)(cheers and applause)

I'm happy for you! Drive safely and have fun! I'm going to see where everything else was...

You could have won an additional $8,000. But who cares? You have the car! Congratulations!

Showcase Showdown coming up!

The moment we have all been waiting for, the showcase reveal. I will start with UniquePerspective, you bid $28,082 on your showcase and the actual retail price is...twenty-eight thousand seven hundred sixty-one ($28,761)! For a difference of...

DING

Six hundred seventy-nine dollars, an excellent bid! Bulldog, you must be closer than that without going over in order to win. You bid $44,582 on your showcase and Bulldog, the actual retail price of your showcase is....Forty-four thousand.....

....five hundred seventy-four ($44,574)
! You went over by just eight dollars!...

MRRRRRRRRRRRRRP

Unique, you win!

DINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDING(2007 main theme)(wild cheers and applause)

That was the second-most painful overbid in this series' history and I'm very sorry, Bulldog. Unique, you have won a pretty sports car and your showcase, it all adds up to a total of $69,453, congratulations! This is goldroadfanatic saying so long, everyone, and I hope to be on for 15 more shows...oh my gosh!

Here are the stats:

Games: 3 for 6

Winnings by Contestant:

UniquePerspective: $69,453
prizes22: $968
yabbaguy: $1,324
GoldenBulldog: $2,498
pathfinder20: $4,829
Todd: $22,349

Total Winnings: $101,421

Notes:
*Every game except 3 Strikes made their second appearances in this series. Danger Price was last played in episode #2, where it was lost; Switch? was played in episode #4, it was won; Hi Lo was played in episode #3, it was won; Lucky $even was played in episode #8, it was lost; and Pick-a-Number was played in episode #7, it was won.
*GoldenBulldog's $8 overbid was the second smallest overbid behind FieldsFan336's $6 overbid in episode #11.
*Possibly a record of 6 one-ups was set in one show in G-R HYO history.
*3 Strikes makes its debut here, and hopefully it won't be retired. I proved that it is not tedious or boring.
*The Purple Wheel makes its only appearance on this show.

The Sweet Sixteen will be coming up soon. As always, any questions or comments are welcome!

This was obviously not Bully's first painful overbid in HYO. He had one on my show a couple of years ago.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed. Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member. Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it? I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is. I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately. whammy007 is the new permanent host. No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me. Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Classic Bully there, giving us moments we'd rather forget, but somehow can't stop thinking about. As you may know, he also wiped out in More or Less when that game appeared on my last show.

Also, he overbid by just $300 back on episode #9 of this series.

Yes, because everybody 'obviously' remembers the results of every HYO that was done two years ago... ;-)

Two questions:

1) Who are you calling eccentric? :)
2) Are you implying that there aren't any eccentric people in New Orleans? I've been there...that certainly didn't seem to be the case...and I wasn't there anywhere near Mardi Gras! :)
