Pretty good show today, but what pleased me the most is that the lineup made sense. Let's hope things keep up .

It's In the Bag was so setup to be won today.

Wow, it seems like a rarity nowadays to get a sp game when It's In the Bag shows up so when Secret X showed up 4th I was like "yessssssssssssss."

I'm not surprised we got a wipeout in X today because those SP's were downright tricky/impossible.

That loss in Most Expensive was pretty inexcusable.

Who in the world is Tom Stever?

-Lineup: Car Game 3rd? Sensible flow? No Baggy first? +1
-Rangey: Pretty high. 8/10
-Baggy: I disagree Rob, this was a really tricky one. But that may be just me - are potatoes always cheap? Also, Hot Pockets sure look like 3.39 when they're 3.49 or 4.49, or whatever they're up to now...soup, supplement and skin cream were gimmes, though. 8/10
-Dicey: Good intuition and el lucky on that 3rd digit. Once I saw 21_3(5), I knew with the repeat rule and the odd look of 6 she had escaped. 9/10
-SD1: 4/5
-X: The 2nd SP was really tricky, AND it was at the bottom today. What's wrong with Cape Cod? :( 8/10
-Liney: A possible timing issue was saved by this EXACTA, wow. :P 10/10
-ME: Meh...I want to say it wasn't the easiest, but clothes are now either outrageously cheap or expensive, and that's annoying. But the trainer should have been the obvious wrong. 7/10
-SD2: 4/5
-SC1: Two cooking classes?? I see a 25k boat, 9k trip, and 8k range... 4.5/5
-SC2: Wow...bathroom. Don't sense El Cheapo here. 4.5/5
-Results: Yep, the expected garf / decent. 8/10
-Drew: Criticized OB1 a bit too much, and sent 1/2 to her car. I was hoping this would be gone soon. 8/10

PGs: 50/60
SDs: 8/10
SCs: 17/20
Drew: 8/10

83 + 1 = 84 --> B
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

+1 ?!

These days, a lineup like that gets a big ol' +10 from me! Most Expensive again? Meh...but hey, beggars can't be choosey.

And really ya'll, contestants nowadays are always gonna freak out when they win a car it seems, so I agree totally with Drew sending some of the estatic ones over to see their new prize. I mean, they just played for and won the thing. They're livid, happy, and releived. It only makes sense to tell'em to go check it out.

Remember the guy last week or whenever that played Double Prices or somegame and won a spa and upon his win, he gleefully ushered himself over to the prize display area? That's just how contestants act in 2009. I doubt that'll end. Nor should it.

Bonus should have been the SP, and there were still no MPs or anything.

When I first saw John's hint that we would be seeing a toilet on Price soon, a number of things flowed through my head - would Drew come out of the doors in a bathroom stall? Would a toilet be given away as a prize? Would there be some toilet humor coming to the show? Luckily, it was the second one, and it wasn't really as bad as some users on this board were expecting - it was given away as part of a bathroom set (which make sense), and it's not just any kind of toilet - it's a super advanced Japanese one!

I'm sure somebody will disagree just to be disagreeable, though.

Not a terrible line up today. Could have been better. I would have swapped Secret X for Bonus Game, but it is what it is.

That was one hell of an expensive outdoor lounge.  :-o

Boy, I was sooo hoping for Pocket Change to show up third instead of Dice Game.

Was this the first time a toilet was ever offered as a prize on the show?

The chef thing is cool, but if its going to be constant, I think they need different chefs to be on the show. Eitherwise, this will get old fast.

I was wondering, ever since the perfect showcase bid a few weeks back, the showcase prizes have been more and more difficult to price. Random trips and rarely seen cars now seem to be offered, which is awesome. Unusual prizes (today's bathroom, and the swimming pool/spa thing last week) are great, but I'm wondering if they are there so that no one can ever bid perfectly again. Just a thought.

3Strikes: By the looks of things, CBS is doing whatever it takes to prevent a perfect showcase from ever surfacing. There was a lot of bad press put against the show, the host and this website once the ARP was revealed to the public. One person even posted a message saying that all three of the above were possibly in cahoots, which as you know is a lie.

One-Bid #1:  $5,000 for a lounger?!

Range:  Now that is a friggin' random trailer.  CSS players, take note.

Baggy:  Well, there it is.  The cream of mushroom soup is now 2 cents more expensive, at $1.31.  Even Drew remembered it being $1.29.  Obvious edit at the end of this segment.

One-Bid #3:  Fireball wants that cooking table. :-)

Dice:  Could we please play something besides Dice Game?  Where the hell is Pocket Change, More or Less, or Temptation?  That middle number had the real potential to be a 6, but thankfully, the dice gods were smiling upon Laura today.

X:  Good to see a SP game on the same show as Baggy, though I was really hoping for Bonus Game.  Yes, I know.  My hatred of Bonus Game has been well-known on this forum for years... but with it being absent for the last three months, I'm actually starting to miss it.  Evil items today.

LEU:  WTF?  Didn't we just see this game two weeks ago?!  I want Pocket Change, More or Less, or Temptation, dammit! :oldevil:

ME:  Anybody else besides me notice Rich's reflection in the mirror of the wine cabinet?

SC #1:  This is a nice sexed-up showcase.  You put Tuscany with a Sanibel boat and you're talking $40,000 easily.

SC #2:  Woohoo!  A toilet!  And I thought Frank and I were the only ones brave enough to offer toilets in our games.  Did everybody notice how enamored the audience was about the toilet?

My showcase bids:
Italy/Boat--$42,007 ( :dsw: )
Toilet--$18,007
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

You know if we didn't havee $5000 IUFB, perhaps they could afford to play Triple Play or Golden Road.

$5000 ???!!! for a chair???   That thing made of gold???

A Toilet?????    Any one know, is that ther first time TPiR has ever offered a toilet?  We've discussed crappy prizes before, but not litterally :)

Range Game was set up for a loss too with it being that high up on the board.

Show wasn't too bad over all.
I'm TheBigAK...and I APPROVE this post.

Very interesting show today with some very strange prizes.

First IUFB: $5000?!  JEEEEEESUS!!  I was not expecting that.

Range Game: Obviously not meant to be won.  It was anyones guess how much that trailer cost.

It's in the bag: Either very smart or very lucky player.  It goes to show you that not going all the way can be the right decision.

Dice Game: As much as I like this game, it's being played too much.  Glad she won the car though.

SSD1: Over by a nickel, OUCH!!

X: OUCH!! Again.

Line em up: This is where things got interesting.  If I was in the audience, she may have lost.  I did not expect her to win first try with those numbers.

Most expensive: At least I would have won here.

Showcases: Strange, very strange.  The first one looked pretty cool.  The chef, the trip, and the sailboat, yet she passes and ends up with a high tech toilet?!  At least no one had to do a demonstration on stage...

And maybe I'm just a moron when it comes to guessing prices, but I would have sworn she had overbid with 32K.  Yes, there was a lot of really nice stuff there, but it's not often when a showcase is worth anymore than 30K.  I couldn't believe she actually lost by underbidding by almost ten thousand dollars!!!

Just because nobody's posted it yet, the last Secret X wipeout was on June 26, 2008.

It was the last playing of S36.

Actually there was even a contestant from a week or two ago who won a television and walked over to see it, although he mostly stood in front of it jumping up and down for the camera.

I wonder if those who don't like when Drew sends them to their Cars, feel the same about Pat Sajak. Pat does the same thing. And I really don't see a problem with it.
