I could have sworn that I saw those last month, but maybe I was seeing things.

No, I don't think so.  I just re-checked the 2/11/09 episode on Innertube and they aren't there.  I do believe this was the first episode to have these.
They showed up after Ten Chances yesterday. They weren't there at the beginning, but showed up after someone was sitting there.

The distribution and dollar amounts on Punch-A-Bunch really needs to be changed. $50 shouldn't even be on the board.
I agree that the distribution needs to be different, but eliminating the $50 prizes is akin to taking the $0 slots off the Plinko board.

I forgot to mention above, first time I saw the trip introductions from the back of the audience for the first time today. Works better than I thought it would, but it begs the question: What the heck was wrong with showing trips behind the big doors?

I haven't been very vocal about changes to the show, as I felt some of them would be inevitable, but really this one smells like a change just for the sake of making a change.
Still waiting to make the pilgrimage....

"She's preggers - and it's twins this time for she and Dean"

I'm mildly confused by this sentence. Are these not Brandi's first two children on the way? For some reason I thought Shane and Gwen were the only recent models to have children.

MOD NOTE: As far as I know, it's her first children. - JC

This was easily the best show in Season 37 so far, with Drew at the top of this game.  I couldn't believe my ears when they offered a vintage Corvette for Let 'em Roll, but somehow, I have this feeling that we could see more vintage and classic cars in future Showcases--just like what we saw on G.S.M.  Someone pointed out in chat that a few of the couples were trying to hide from the camera, but maybe I'm missing something.  The Showcases were fairly good today, but those trips in SC-1 were odd.

OVERALL SHOW GRADE:  A
I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your love, affection and loyalty to me, drew, the models and.... The Price is Right....thank you for being such a "Loyal Friend & True". -Rich Fields (in an e-mail sent to me on 3/17/2010)

I support The Price is Right...even if nobody I know likes Drew Carey.

Pros:
  • Drew is right - that '75 Chevy Corvette Stingray was quite possibly the coolest prize the show has offered... ever. Anybody know if the show offered one back in 1975?

I seem to recall on my DVD set, that one of the early episodes featured a 'Vette. I don't have them handy at the moment, but I do remember they played Any Number for it.

Since the Barrett-Jackson car auction took place not long ago, I checked to see if the Corvette offered was from said auction. Although there were some '75 Corvettes, none matched the one shown on today's episode. Nonetheless, it was a great surprise to see.

That particular Corvette was supplied by a "classic Corvette" dealer called "Corvette Mike's". If you look at their website, that same car is still up for sale. I wonder if they declined delivery of it....

The couples thing worked out better than I thought.  Although I think it could have been better (couples should have taken turns more often).

The Corvette was awesome.  I so want one.

Holy crap, Brandi is pregnant!!!  With twins nonetheless!!  I was totally blind-sighted by this news.  With Shane and Gwen's pregnancies, I was able to figure it out before it was announced.  I totally wasn't expecting this news.  Congrats to Brandi and Dean.

I didn't think this show was all that great. The couples thing itself worked for the most part, but I thought the lineup sucked and Drew was all over the place today IMO. Let go of the fact that Rich has a goatee! I thought the lineup could've been 10000000000000000 times better than it was. I thought PLINKO would be more fun than Punchy (although I love that game), starting off with something more exciting like maybe 3 Strikes or Golden Road. We've got couples, play Pick-a-Pair. Most of the games played aren't two-player friendly. If they make this an annual thing, they REALLY have to work on the lineup more.

PaP isn't exactly a 2P compatible game. In fact, none of the games are designed to be 2P, although I agree Plinko would have worked well. But the last two eps of this week were taped 1/5/09, the rest on 12/18/08, if I recall correctly. Maybe they didn't think far enough ahead.

As for the lineup...it was a bit underwhelming, I agree. Why Punchy in the 2nd half? DP twice in one week and in the same position? Help! But Swap was good.
