3/5/09: New Plinko Intro

Already, this is becoming our second-favorite intro, behind the old-school Plinko sign. And we get to see the full spin of the Turntable for the first time since...well, the Marc Breslow/Paul Alter days of yore.

Wow. Just wow. Amazing.

I'm more floored by seeing the turntable turn (its rather strange to think we haven't had these shots in the Carey era, or really for the last ten years).

The shot from the TV to Drew was a phenomenal idea.

Its so hard for me to believe that Rich DiPirro is already better in 2 days than Bart was in 10 years.

Am I the first one to notice that the Plinko! scoreboard read 50000 at the beginning of the game? Or was it there before Dipirro and I never noticed it?

That was cool.  Although, I think it would be even cooler if they used the video wall and the IITB intro.

Also: FADE IN THE FREAKING CG PLINKO DISCS, DON'T HAVE THEN JUST POP IN. That's sloppy and bad presentation.

Ahh the irony. 

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that was intentional. Kind of a throwback (unintentional or not) to something Bob Barker used to say, usually after the first showcase showdown when he did use it.  He'd say "More prizes and sur-prizes after this announcement."
