The last of three straight shows with guest appearances, and this time, it's a country music-themed show!

Money Game: The last two digits were very tough, for sure.

2 for the Price of 1: I was also thinking $940 for the games.

Secret "X": Unfortunate loss there.

One Wrong Price: I would've picked the barset.

Stack the Deck: Great win!

Range Game: I knew he stopped the rangefinder a bit too late.

Showcases: Somehow, I had the sneaking suspicion that Hali had gone over.

Miscellaneous: Larry and Heidi make a good duet, with his guitar and her harmonica, and I also enjoyed the Reba McEntire segment.

That didn't go too badly. The bonus trip for the Showcase winner with Reba was a nice touch.

I'm not a fan of country music, but I enjoyed this. It really wasn't as crazy and stupid as everyone thought it would be (except for the horse). The bonus trip was a nice touch, as Hag said.  It was nice to see Stacky won as well.

This was not a very good show.  There was a pretty significant flaw, one that should have been rectified.  The horse entrance was bad, but certainly didn't affect the entire episode.

Super Rush Mode, however, did.  It's not really a good sign when they have to zip through the first pricing game at light speed.

We know Adam is fully capable of doing super short-timed lineups.  Today really needed to be one of those days, because the entire episode was rush, rush, rush!  The whole thing with Reba at the end obviously ate up a good chunk of time, but this was the one day that they really needed to compensate for it by trimming the lineup.  I was genuinely surprised they played two regular car games today.

Speaking of lineups though, yay, Range Game sixth!

Stack the Deck was very well played.

Today's show wasn't as bad as I thought it would be except for that idiotic entrance with the horse.

Today's lineup wasn't as bad as I thought it would be except for Money Game showing up first yet again!!! However, I can live with that since Double Prices actually got a week off!!! :-D

And I definitely agree with Frank: Range Game last= a :-D me

I think today was the quickest Money Game playing i've ever seen, i'd dare say it went by faster than an average playing of Double Prices. I don't think they were trying to zip through it, it seemed to me that Abe was just a quick player.

2 for the Price of 1 and Stack the Deck were played very well.

Y'know, Frank was surprised two regular car games was played today I was surprised we got both the SP and GP games today. I figured we wouldn't see the SP so yeah a nice surprise that's for sure.

-Lineup: Hey rob, no DP! :P Pretty good.
-Entrance: ...No plausible reason to do that. :/
-Money: Boy, just as expected. 7/10
-241: There we go. 9/10
-X: Ha, I called the top today. That purifier didn't look like 50. 8/10
-SD1: 5/5
-ME: I also thought that luggage would be more. The bar still looks wrong with -019. 8/10
-Stacky: An amazing playing!!! 11/10
-Rangey: Now less than 1/3 up? 8/10
-SD2: 4/5
-SC1: Wow...that was a bit confusing to follow. And all a bit undertoned by only the plasmas. 4/5
-SC2: What a combo - Mustang Convertible + Harley Davidson! 5/5
-Results: I'm surprised the premiere seats to all 5 of those concerts totaled out so low - I thought that was a strong bid there. Then the Davidson was on the high side... still, reasonable bids. 9/10
-Drew: Ignoring the horse, absolutely fine, managing to get to the front at the end. 9/10

PGs: 51/60
SDs: 9/10
SCs: 18/20
Drew: 9/10

87 --> B+
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

That entrance with the horse was one of the more idiotic entrances I've ever seen on the show. Willy said in chat that the horse, obviously frightened and a little thrown off, did what you might expect a frightened  horse to do backstage shortly after the incident and well, I hope it didn't stink up the place too badly. That being said, Drew seems to now be doing down to doing weird entrances about once a week (Remember the banana last week?) They do work better in moderation, and once a week is probably acceptable moderation.

This show did not flow together very well. Granted, after the horse entrance and the not-very-good intro to the first IUFB I was hoping it wouldn't continue in that bad direction but having the entrance, the first IUFB and even the first PG prize (a new truck) be themed around the country music and then really not having another country music moment until IUFB6, but then loading the end of the show with them felt a little weird and discombobulated. Combine that with the super rush mode Frank mentioned and you have a show that definitely felt a little off today. That being said I disagree with Frank - I'd rather they rush through good games on days like today (and today's lineup was decent given the time constraints) than simply play quickies. I'm sure we'd have complained if they played quickies too - it's a lose lose situation for them. Also Adam hasn't really been timing lineups short all that much lately.

Speaking of lineups, we've had 9 SP games in the last 10 shows, without repeating - yay! Dice Game has also mysteriously disappeared from the last SIX WEEKS of lineups (budget concerns?). Check Game has disappeared for 2 months since the incident where the display couldn't show the 5 digit total.

Now, gameplay. What an incredible Stack the Deck win that was - first time this season for that game ! And now that I think about it it was a major stop-the-Fingers moment. If she hadn't chosen to get the last number free (and most people don't) she would have had a choice between 0 and 8 for the last number, a choice that practically would equate to a forced loss so many people are going to pick 0 there. Instead she merely had to decide whether the car was 20, 25 or 29k. Pretty easy decision there. Nicely done!

Overall, this show could have been worse, could have been better - I'll give it a pass. I'm hoping for some normalcy soon though - theme shows are nice but 3 days in a week with some sort of theme or guest is a little much. It's beginning to feel a little bit like the "Drew does whatever else while still having to play 6 pricing games" show. That being said, at least the themes and showcases are becoming more tolerably executed (first segment today aside - oy), the hosting is getting better, it's on the right track. Just let's try not to overdo the themes.

In defense of the "idiotic" entrance - it at least went with the theme.

Y'know something - I'd say, folks, I kind of thought this show would be a good one ... and by golly, it was.

Yes, we did have the goofy horse entrance, but I agree with mrbrown - it kept with the theme, and what's more, it behaved itself.

In Stack the Deck, this might have been a good time for Shake & Bake coating ... for (what else), FRIED CHICKEN! Hey, all in keeping with the western theme with the grocery items (barbecue sauce, root beer, cornbread mix, canned chili and baked beans). What a meal that would make! As for the game itself, boy am I glad she chose the last digit after all ... I would have gone with the 2-3-4 digits, then picked "0" as the fifth digit ... and lost!

If there was one criticism, it would be that I didn't think there were enough country music artists on today. Sure, Heidi Newfield and Reba McEntire did well in their limited appearances, but I would have given a little bit more time to the other ACM nominees, such as Gary LeVox (lead singer of Rascal Flatts), Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood (e.g., have them model or introduce prizes) ... to give it a little more of a country music feel. Yes, I do think this would have been accomplished while keeping the games at the forefront. At least most of the prizes, IMO, had to do with country music and/or a western theme.

Yeah it fit the theme, but to me it just looked baddddd. That's definitely something they could have done without and I wish they had did without.

Yeah, but that still would have shaved time away from the games and in all actuality took attention away from the games. I mean, who would you pay more attention to the star or the game? I know what a lot of people's answer might be. It's good they didn't have that many stars on there otherwise attention would have been placed solely on them.

Secondly, they do that and we would have probably seen a lineup of Money Game, Coming or Going, Switch, Pick a Number, Side-by Side and Double Prices. I know that's a bit ridiculous but a short short lineup is what we would have gotten. Things worked out well enough with how they did things today.
