Feb. 23-24, 2004. Over five years ago. Since I started keeping records, that's the one and only time there has been a double skunking. Switch: He should of left them alone.

Pocket ¢hange: I always like the “Crazy Rachel’s Car Lot” line! Tough loss.

Balance Game: The sound effects lady was a little early in playing the buzzer.

Hi-Lo: Tough loss.

Range Game: Went a little too far.

Swap Meet: If I’m not mistaken, this is the first time this game has been played last since June 9th, 2006. We also got the only pricing game winner of the show.

Showcases: I like the little thunderstorm they had when they had the waterproof computer out.

Good show today. Swap Meet last today was a nice little treat. It also prevented us from having a 0/6 show today.

DARN! I was hoping for a double skunking and then go 0-5 in the first part of Day 3 on TPiR. Then, a $50,000 win in Plinko, punctuated by the entire audience storming the stage (and forcing Drew to run off-stage before he can throw to a commercial or get mobbed by the crowd), followed by a $26,000 Showcase Showdown win and a Double Showcase Exacta!

Darn you, David! Darn you for not letting my dream come true.

Actually, it does appear that — even with the easy win — he deserved to win, and should be congratulated!

Glad there was no skunking, but in terms of the literal, smelly sense, today's show WAS, in fact, a real skunk.

Drew was way off his game today. He sort of just phoned in his performance, at best seeming unhappy to be at the show, at worst seeming frustrated. His jokes were really awful and I felt bad for poor Ann Marie. Here she is, all excited and enthused to be on the show, and Drew just ruins it by rudely asking if she needs an exorcist and referring to The Omen. I felt that joke just sucked out the life from her excitement and slowed down Pocket Change from there.

Another thing that stuck out to me was Hi-Lo. When Ryan picked the hot chocolate, Drew frustratingly mumbled, "What is the price of...whatever that stuff is" (or something along those lines). Then Rich says, "Its hot chocolate, Drew." Is it just me, or did that sound dubbed in in post production? Something was really awkward about that and seemed to be trying to cover over Drew. Perhaps I'm seeing it the wrong way, but it didn't flow naturally, either.

A strong point to the show was the line-up. I felt like we got a regular, decent line-up, and I feel good having seen More or Less yesterday and Pocket Change (again!) today. Swap Meet 6th was a very nice surprise, and I really didn't expect Balance Game, either. We got only one quickie in the form of Switch, and I'm not complaining. What I will complain about is the fact we've now seen Range Game three times in one week. I know episodes are being aired out of order, but still, my gut is to say, "Enough Range Game already!"

Finally, what was up with those cheap showcases? $15,000 in 2009 seems really off. It was obvious they were setting up for a double overbid, and boy, did they get it!

Overall, great lineup, but not such a hot show today.

Drew's hosting today was absolutely abysmal. Even my wife (who rarely watches noticed this). She wondered during Pocket Change why Drew was acting so mournful and unenthused. Today's performance by Drew in Pocket Change (and for the entire show) just was downright horrible.

Y'know if they wanted to play a 4 prize game last they could have pulled out Take Two or Shopping Spree instead of Swap Meet.

Range Game for a car!!! Range Game 5th!!! Interesting, but useless tidbit--Range Game's last 3 on air playings have been 4th, 5th and 6th--it's covered the 2nd half!!!

A double overbid? All I can say is that's a fitting way to end an overall pitiful show.

The show was blah.  Nothing too special, but it surprised me to see Swap Meet last since I was fully expecting Double Prices.

11 losses in a row certainly is nothing to sneeze at, and proof what sort of budget mode we are in.

I didn't particularly like the way they handled the overbid.  The models didn't do much, they kind of just danced around and waited for Drew.

He should have gone into the audience and interacted.

** wishing i wouldn't have switched**  ...  but i still had a great time at the show

I would have switched too, Kiley.  We've seen uber expensive wardrobes recently, and I thought you made the right move.

Glad to see that you had a good time, though.

Swap Meet was a forced win, I think -- that was just TOO easy.

Combined with yesterday, the entire episode was downbeat despite a solid lineup. It's only so long that you can survive with a L11 streak going.

-Lineup: Nice end game! Everyone stop saying TT/SS for once, they are clearly on hiatus. Would have Dicey (where is it?) instead of Rangey.
-Switch: I also thought it was the switch, so you win one, audience, but... 8/10
-PC: Gah, the paint protection did its job. 8/10
-Balance: Could have gone either way. 8/10
-SD1: 4/5
-Hi/Lo: Gorman's as a high is just wrong. 8/10
-Rangey: Gah, for once it was meant to be won kinda - just $10 from the start of the range. Maybe a bit tough - 7/10
-Swap: Wow, he found a really tough setup! This saved the entire thing from El Skunko IV... 9/10
-SD2: 4/5
-SC1: Meh...not too exciting an ending. 4/5
-SC2: Same. 4/5
-Results: Awww man...Jamaica was really cheap and the motorcycles weren't too pricey after all. 6/10
-Drew: We've seen Drew keep things on the up and up for a 1/6 show. Oh well. 6/10

PGs: 48/60
SDs: 8/10
SCs: 14/20
Drew: 6/10

76 --> C
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Rob is usually quick to point out when he enjoys the game lineups or parts of a show in particular. At the same time, there's nothing wrong with him pointing out when he doesn't enjoy something either .I happen to agree with much of what he says about this episode.

With all the designer junk they've had on lately, in spite of how the audience reacted, I'd have thought the clothing was more expensive than it was as well.

Drew added absolutely nothing to Pocket Change when the opportunities to build suspense presented themselves, and unfortunately, he mumbled a great deal during today's show, which is one of the quickest ways to kill suspense.

I thought the trip descriptions in Balance Game were rather vague. The "dinky" screen still doesn't do much for me. It's just not that impressive.

Not sure how I like the ending of the show. It seems weird to try to get everyone standing in front of the audience. Maybe it'll grow on me.

You know that he's referring to himself, right? He is an alumnus, his airdate is/was today! I think you know that, 'Nique, but, in case anyone else didn't.

Hey, Kiley, I can't say if you're from Minneapolis or not (or nearby, but I know you're from Minnesota), but they say it's the land of 10,000 lakes, right? Maybe you can use the surfboards you won there.  :-) Smart decision to go to the green podium!

EDIT: Hey, you are from Minneapolis! Perfect, no?

Kiley, it would've been much more painful if you switched back and were wrong. I would've switched as well, so you got a bummer of a game. Clothing's been the bane of everyone's existance in games like One Right/Wrong Price, Most Expensive, and Switch. :)

I agree, I think Drew killed the enthusiasm for Pocket Change. I mean... "Wouldn't that be exciting if she came back and got 50 cents? That would be a historic moment on The Price is Right!" It kind of borrows more off of 3 Strikes drama, but it's definitely usable here.

Swap Meet... ugh. I should hang my head in shame for choosing that desk.

Rob, I'm not quite sure of all games why you're really desperate to see Take Two/Shopping Spree out, especially considering Swap Meet wasn't a bad choice by any means. They're not really the most fascinating games, beyond if we were to see them for the first time. It puzzles me why they haven't been brought out, but frankly, I don't see why they're missed that much.

Range Game, though, we're getting too much of that. We need more one-prize

You had me all scared thinking there would never be overbids aired again! Today we see a double overbid on a one-bid, no less. I can't believe I actually thought those would be edited out for good.  :-D

An okay show. I just wish there was more enthusiasm and more winning going on today, but it was okay.

Because we haven't seen either game for months. Not once this year, at least fot TT (not sure of SS, but, that says something, no?). If you're going to use a 4-prizer, use one that hasn't been seen in awhile. These two are lonnng overdue. I assume Rob means this. If he does, I agree wholeheartedly.
