CSS Results for April 28
« on: April 28, 2009, 03:20:49 PM »
Well, well. Can't say it was a great performance, but look at that, I won CSS today... BY TEN BUCKS! I thought that I was being very conservative on the golf package but actually had the third best bid, and the second best on the first showcase (third best in the whole crowd, but PGS25 went over on the other showcase). Cash to Flerbert419 on the first, and Hag on the second, but even if it's only 0.02 points over the closest player, I have another win!

(Hey, let me gloat. It happens infrequently enough...)

Fourth place. Not too shabby at all! :D

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

17009 / 17009 - I guess that outdoor TV was more, or something. Decent
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Tailor Made...I don't like you right now. :p I'll explain that as my logic for the day.

Also, Goldy...next time you say you have a DSW in chat...double check. :p

I'm missing from the sheet.

Not like it matters, since I over'ed the ridiculously cheap Golf showcase.

(Can I get .01 for honesty?  Please?  :D )
They can be close at the top, too.

You don't need much math to know that 19091 is more than 19065. He probably misheard the ARP...give him a break, I'm sure he's crushed on missing the easy DSW even more than Stagey was. :(

Okay, so the golf package wasn't quite AS ridiculously cheap as it looked.......nor was the spa, for that matter.......

Yeah, my math was off, and I screwed myself out of a DSW for the sake of a palindromic bid.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day...

Glad to pick up the cash, but I am kicking myself a little for shaving $1000 off my bid on Showcase 2 and spoiling a DSW. But cash is good.

2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

That sounds like something I've done.  I sometimes get artsy with my bids, and occasionally I've lived to regret it.  One time I remember adding $100 to one of my bids in order to have both bids made up of the same five digits, but I ended up turning a DSW into a WSD in the process.

Anyway, I'm semi-glad I didn't play today, because I had the same idea as Armadillo in thinking both showcases would be cheap.  I would have just barely broken 70 points, finishing second from the bottom among the non-overbidders.

I was going to bid $15,974 for both showcases because I could not decide which one was more expensive.  Then I punted and went with 2 as the cheaper of them because of those gift cards.  Worked out well.
