CSS Results for April 29
« on: April 29, 2009, 02:44:57 PM »
This is the week for close calls. Yesterday, I won by $10. Today WhammyPower788 cashes by $1. I guess it all depends on what random numbers you add to the end of your bid for superstition, symbolism, or whatever. And with a very gutsy bid on the Sea-Doo showcase, Frank15 wins and cashes.

I've not the slightest clue what made that so expensive. Broyhill = not $$$, Tommy Hilfiger = not $$$, and the Sea-Doo was $17,999 when we saw it earlier this month. And still I garfed it. WHY?!?! As far as Finland, A bunch of us just didn't seem sure if it was cheap or expensive. Those who went expensive (all two of them) went over. At least the cheaps get points, which for many of us are desperately needed at this point in the season.

28209 / 19209 - Looks like I would have been very close with Frank for the win. Nice!

As for what Tom's puzzling about, I put the clothes at 3k and the bedroom at 7k. Now I'm thinking the clothes were 5k...I mean, 36 articles of clothing only needs to go at $150 apiece to get to $5400...

S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Heh...considering I'm driving all the way to St. Louis next weekend to see a band from Finland, you'd think I'd have done better on the trip...

There's a chance the sorting in Excel defaults to Z-A instead of A-Z.

Even though I haven't seen the show yet, I've got to make this a ND because I accidentally clicked in this thread. I was afraid that it would happen one day. :-(

'Bout time!  Hooray for me!  And Buddy ol' Pal, my guess about the clothing was that, even though it may not have been the pricest clothing ever offered, there was still a lot of it, and probably added up to a pretty penny.

Let's see here:  I had the second best bid on the Sea-Doo, the second best bid on the trip, and I ended up finishing in second place!  :D

I originally had $28,400/$18,400, but then I decided to get artsy and I made it so the last two digits of my SC2 bid were the same as the first two digits in my SC1 bid and vice versa.  It didn't make much difference other than a fraction of a point, but that $1 separating me from cashing is just plain painful.

But aside from missing the cash, I really can't complain too much about my performance today.  :-)

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

And if I put you above Nam Nhu... he might have the same quibble. I can't put you side by side, and when I sort by points, it goes in reverse alphabetical order. ::shrug:: Besides, past first, placement doesn't count for anything.

I can't tell whether or not you knew I was joking, so I just wanted to state that I was.

I don't know what made a 5-night trip to Finland so damn expensive, but at least I didn't go over.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".
