I thought it was funny today with Drew jumping on the MYM turntable! LOL!  With regards to:

Can someone please elaborate what happened here?  Did Drew get his wrists caught in the turntable?  Was he trying to be funny?  Or did the prop REALLY malfunction?

Joe

If I recall the interview correctly, they were rehearsing Grocery Game, and Drew was waving or something, and when the turntable came around to show the game, it caught his wrist and/or forearm and basically crushed it.  That's why he had that cast on for so long.

I think Joe is asking for what happened on the show yesterday, not Drew's grocery game injury.

Drew ran behind the turntable and came back around from backstage. There is now a video of it in the video collection.

I just checked out the vid, I saw the turntable basically stopped about 4/5 of the way through the turn, was that just cuz of Drew's dash backstage or has that happened more and I just missed it?

It hasn't happened before.

I would venture a guess that they stopped the turntable to prevent serious injury... the motor in that probably has more than enough power to kill a person.

For a while they were stopping it there quite a lot, though for IsUFB, not pricing games.

(slowly catching up...)
