I thought the elimination round was nothing more than a glorified "Lightning Round". Since Bob did create both Password and Pyramid, why wouldn't Sande try to go for a "best of both worlds" concept?

Sony Pictures might throw the red flag on Fremantle-Media since they own ALL 'Pyramid' formats and NOT 'PASSWORD'!  It wouldn't matter since Bob Stewart left Goodson/Todman in the late 1960's to create his own production company and Sony owns that and Sande's company.

On the other hand, if Sony Pictures were to merge with Fremantle-Media, then maybe they should call it "The $1,000,000 Password/Pyramid Hour".  Too bad it ain't happening.  Look what happened when Mark Goodson teamed with Merrill Heatter in 1983 for "The Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour".  SNORESVILLE!
