As some of our older members may think, the Pontiac Astre (a clone of the Chevrolet Vega) was much worse than the T1000/1000 that succeeded it.

Oh yes, the very forgettable Astre. Of course, back then, the next step up was the Chevy Monza/Pontiac Sunbird/Olds Firenza (not to be confused with the Suzuki Forenza)/Buick Skyhawk (or SkyHawk, if you will) quartet, which soon became a quintet with the arrival of the Chevy Cavalier (which replaced the Monza), Pontiac J2000 (a Sunbird variant) and Cadillac Cimarron.

Let me start with this: YAY SHELLY!!!

The "14+" bug showed up in Canada as well.  Who knows why that happened.  All I do know is, today was an excellent show (well, yesterday.)  And, i Feliz Cinco de Mayo !

Speaking of the Pontiac Astre, I wonder ... we knew that the Chevrolet Vega was one of the most frequent prizes on TPiR (as I'm sure many game shows of the 1970s era). I don't ever recall the Pontiac Astre as a TPiR prize, unless Steve or someone might know.

Maybe on "Wheel of Fortune" (and we definitely know "The Hollywood Squares"), but no Pontiac Astres to my knowledge on TPiR.

Cover Up: Why does Katherine remind me of a character I don't even watch? I had to laugh when she got only the 2 right. Epic ending!

Most Expensive: Snazzy motorscooter. I need to stop avoiding designer wardrobe!

shell game: Ah, a nice bonus-enhanced win. Just don't lose the ball!

Pick-a-Number: I say 4. Ah, a good combination of a guitar and a trailer.

Calldown 5: Now I'm scared, Hayley would surely scare Bob.

Line 'em Up: Oh, now the second try is an absolute crapshoot. I'm gonna say 6. It's kinda great to watch online and reply afterwards. I forgot to set the DVR.

Bullseye: First I said five of the red licorice ($7.95), then seven Nesquiks ($11.83), and three Gorton's.

Showcases: I kinda like that living room set. (I usually do not say that.)

LMAD gave away POntiac cars in the mid 70s, and I think the Astre turned up once or twice on the shows GSN has run. Split Second gave away mostly Pontiacs at the time, so it probably had an Astre.

Cover; UNBELIEVABLE!!!! (In a non-excitable way) Just unbelievable!!  8-O

Most: DEATH TO BURBERRY COATS!!!!!

Shell: A trip to the NBA Finals would've been even better if there are many who don't give a hoot for the Cavs. Great win and $500 to boot.

P-a-N: Sheesh!! Never have I seen anyone go apes**t for a mini-bloody-trailer.

Line; Michael gets to work on building a two-Focus garage.  :-D Excellent.

Bullseye: For once, The Gorton's fish payed off. Very nice.

Showcases: I kinda' agree. that is a pretty looking Living room group with a car to boot.

A 3.50-star show.
