-Lineup: It was pretty good overall. Maybe replace ME with a better MP, I noticed online the timing was way short.
-DP: Ugh, it was right there in front of her. 7/10
-Stacky: ...Is it OK to fork after the first GP is missed? And what the heck was up with those cheapo GPs there? 8/10
-ME: ...W...T...F. 8/10
-SD1: 5/5
-Flippy: Nice try, but trips not in -9 seems to be a pretty good principle. 8/10
-Plinko: There we go. 9/10
-A#: Terrible playing. 6/10
-SD2: 4/5
-SC1: A bit random again... 4/5
-SC2: There was a loose theme...might as well taken out the picnic stuff. 4/5
-Results: WOW, I didn't think wine sexed it up THAT much. My goodness. 8/10
-Drew: Average again - 8/10

PGs: 46/60
SDs: 9/10
SCs: 16/20
Drew: 8/10

78 --> C+
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

This has been a terrible week as far as wins go... we haven't had a clear-cut win since Monday.

Double Prices: For weeks, I thought the game got a bright touch-up. Today's play confirms it for me.

Stack the Deck: Without any clues whatsoever, I called it (that we're playing Stack the Deck). What a longshot.
I've never heard of Jaw Busters.  It's apparently very cheap, though.  Might be a good cheap way to get a sugar high when I need one, though if that big a box is only 25¢, I question whether it's edible.
I think I ate some when I was very young. They are made at a nearby suburb near my house. Those, LemonHeads, Red Hots, and other [fruit]Heads really do give me a cheap sugar high. Takes me back a little bit. And yes, they are edible and sugary after the flavor is gone.

Most Expensive: With all the talk about designer items being expensive, I wanted to pick that. I even FFed it because I knew those D&G shoes would be it. But I recalled that chair. Oh, this trumps the shoes!

Flip Flop: I cannot recall today. All I can think about is the play I uploaded today

Plinko: I feel a little good now.

One Bid 6: I ate holiday rabbit during this bid. Wonder what's Irving's gonna eat...

Any Number: When Nathan got the two numbers for the candlesticks, I felt he's pushing it to win them. And he did.

Is it just me, or did Michael ask what is a chateaux during his showcase?  Drew should have played off that.

Double: WOW!! Talk about get it over with. $7995 was so screaming "PICK ME!!!".

Stack: Marlene's luck was no there at all in this one. I had a hunch the 5 would'nt be the last digit.

Most: $5500 OFFICE CHAIR??!!!  8-O :-o 8-O :-o  The words "RARE FIND" never crossed Michael's mind at all leading him into believing the stinking designer crap was it.

FlipFlop: Too bad.

Plinko: Great for our good pal Domenico taking home $11K.  :-)

Any #: Irving spread himself too thin going the 749 route.

Showcases: When a trip to a French Chateux is involved, it's definetly gonna be a sexed-up showcase.

A 2.75-star show.

They left the orange box open...but the abundance of red in the washer & dryer, the red platform, and the floral retro backdrop does a good job of taking attention off of the box.

Having Double Prices first was interesting.  That hasn't happened in God only knows how long.  I just hope they don't start doing that regularly...the only thing that makes Double a good first game is the sheer rarity of it.

Stack the Deck was pretty damn hard.

I don't say this often, but I'm gonna say it today:  Most Expensive was a forced loss.  There is no way anyone in his right mind was picking that chair.

I thought the copy made it obvious which prize was the right choice (not to mention we've seen the chair before). In Rich's copy, he described the chair as being 1 of 80 in the world, and as having come out of an Italian race car. Italian race car + ultra-rare = Expensive... damn muffler probably costs $12K.

I would've picked it based on the copy alone!

You're missing the point here.  It's a chair.  Chairs do not cost $5,500.

EDIT:  And Whin, I think your episode count got knocked a little bit off somewhere along the line...if I'm not mistaken, this was episode 7,081.

No, I'm really not missing the point. Most people would not pay $5,500 for a chair, but obviously, this chair costs $5,500.

Brake pads don't normally cost $4000... except for the brake pads for a Lamborghini Diablo GT, of which only 80 were built & sold. I'd be willing to bet the nuts and bolts on that thing cost a couple hundred dollars each.

But, alas, I come back to what I posted originally -- the copy was practically screaming PICK ME!. It emphasized the fact that it is only one of 80, out of an ultra-rare Lamborghini. Not only that, but it was featured in the last playing of Temptation, and I'm pretty sure it has been featured at least once before that.

Yes, that's a designer washer/dryer.

I really hope you're joking. I'm appliance shopping for my first house right now and W/D's like that are practically all that's out there right now (sans coloring). Heck, the last time I went to Lowe's, they only had one top loader in the entire store.

Copy doesn't mean crap in studio.  Trust me.  Be a contestant once or twice and you'll understand.

I really hope you're joking.

If you really think I'm serious, I think it's time for bed.

Double Prices: Wow, I never expected this game to show up first. And once again, they forgot to cue the losing horns after the buzzer.

Stack the Deck: Worst playing ever of this game, which I never cared for anyway. But hey, major props to the split-screen with the contestant and GP in separate panes. IIRC, the last time a GP game used the split-screen was Pick-a-Pair, when it still had the old ferris wheel set.

Most Expensive: Seems every time those evil designer items show up, the game in which they're featured is never won. Blame the $5500 chair this time.

Flip Flop: Should've flip-flopped there.

Plinko: Another $10,000 win here. I love it when they hit the big money slot in this game.

Any Number: At least the guy didn't end up with the piggy bank.

Showcases: Anytime you hear about a trip to France, you know that's going to be one expensive Showcase. Just ask the person who won an $18,000-plus French cruise on the show where Bob returned a few weeks back.

When he made setups hard/difficult/evil, he still made them fair and winnable.

Could you give me an example using the game Stack The Deck? If you were to fill in Roger's shoes, how would you make a game's setup difficult to win without being pure evil, and what good will it do to the contestant if the game was meant to be a loss?

IIRC, the last time a GP game used the split-screen was Pick-a-Pair, when it still had the old ferris wheel set.

I just remembered, Hole in One has always used the split-screen whenever a putt is attempted. What I meant to say is "the last time a GP game other than Hole in One used the split-screen was Pick-a-Pair".
