Connie guesses 5 first and it goes in the range. Connie's next guess is 3 and it goes in the range. Connie's next guess is 2 and it goes in the car! Her next guess is 7 and it goes in the car! Her next choice is 4 and it goes in the car! Connie's next guess is 6 and it goes in the car, so she wins a $2,746 Chevy Vega! The range was $385 and $1.09 was the amount in the piggy bank.
Evelyn Long is the next contestant called to come on down. A sewing machine is the next prize up for bids.

The first small prize for Bonus Game is an electric typewriter. It has a wrong price of $118. Paul guesses higher and he is correct. The typewriter is $160. The next small prize is linens. It has a wrong price of $97. Paul guesses lower and is correct. The price is $63. The next small prize is an encyclopedia. This carries an incorrect price of $185. Paul guesses higher and is correct. It's $226. The final small prize is a styling dryer, which has a wrong price of $36. Paul guesses lower and is correct. The styling dryer price is $25 and Paul wins the washer/dryer and color TV. For the record, the bonus was in the window with the encyclopedia.
The next contestant is Elaine Yumen (unsure of spelling of last name). The next prize up for bids is a dishwasher.

ARP is $250 and Elaine is the winner of the dishwasher. However, there was no perfect bid bonus at this time. Anyway, Elaine gets to play Double Prices for a freezer. Elaine has to choose between $485 and $319 for the freezer. She guesses $485 and is wrong. The correct price is $319.
Time now for the showcase round. Connie is the top winner in the showcase and Paul is the runner up in the showcase. The first showcase contains a trip to Acapulco, an organ, a range and 144 square feet of floor tiles. Connie elects to bid on this showcase and she bids $1,750. The second showcase is Paul's and the second showcase contains a pair of roller skates, a bike trainer, and a Mazda 808 Sedan. Paul bids $2,500.
ARP of Connie's showcase is $2,307 for a difference of $557.
ARP of Paul's showcase is $2,504 for a difference of only $4! That makes Paul the big winner of the showcase. However, because there was no DSW rule yet, he only wins his own showcase.
Paul's winnings total is $4,328
