I usually don't blast a show, but this one deserves it.
First off, I
loved all the classic cues used today.
Secondly, I absolutely
HATED Timothy. Downright, truly, seriously
hated the guy.
Timothy was, by far, the most rude, insolent, annoying, and moronic contestant I have ever seen on The Price is Right in the past 15 years I've knowingly watched the show. He was an idiot. His comments after each One-Bid were downright unnecessary, he failed to act his color (geez, people - if you're White, is it
really that hard to
act White?), and I felt his stupidity made a mockery of the show. If he would have bid $420 on everything, I may have really Shot the TV. What the
hell was Stan thinking?
If contestants like Timothy are chosen to be on the show, there is hope for just about anyone.
I wonder how Bob would react towards him (I am not saying that Bob should return; it's just that Bob can easily recognize an LFaT when he sees one.). I usually do not do this, but some of the contestants in today's episode makes me want to start rooting against them in some of their games. I don't want to do that, but if this keeps on, I may do that on a regular basis.
I absolutely agree. I think Bob probably would've kicked the dude off the stage, personally. Then again, I recall Bob putting up with Evan the 420 guy and the idiot who cheated in Flip Flop a couple seasons ago...
Show Scorecard:Lineup: 7/10.
Drew: 8/10. I can definitely say Cover Up is Drew's best game.
Contestants: 5/10. If Kelly and a couple of the other hotties hadn't been called down, this would've been a big ol' goose egg. Full explanation below in the "Final Comments" section.
Showcases: 6/10. The party boat saved it.
Music Cues: 7/10. Thank God for the classic cues used today.
Overall:With music cue grade: D
Weighted and without music cue grade: D-
Final Comments:Timothy ruined the whole show for me. If a few of the contestants that were called down wouldn't have been called down, I would have given this show a straight-up F. I'm still wondering what went through Stan's mind when he chose Timothy as a contestant. Maybe everyone else was a paid sit-in or ineligible? Something
had to happen. In a room of over 300 audience members, I'm willing to bet that there was someone better than Timothy. Poor choice on Stan's part, IMHO.
At least I know that it can only go uphill from here.
