It's back by popular demand...The only day it's legal to think you're in Monty Hall's presence (sort of):

CBS.com: "Hey Ghosts and Goblins! “The Price Is Right” is taping a special Halloween show on Wednesday, July 29 at 4:00pm!"

OK, let's put out a challenge. Pick a Pricer and give them their costume. Keep it clean, please.

I'll start. Assuming she's back for the occasion: Brandi as Sarah Palin, anyone?

Go from there...

That makes absolutely no sense to tape this episode 3 months early.

Well, I can say that I, who has had some modicum of tolerance for all the antics of Season 37, am skeptical about this.  One interesting thing that was brought up in Roger's Shokus interview was how the Groucho Marx glasses on the April 1, 2009 show, the host put it, "covered up people's faces, so we couldn't see who they really were."  Wearing costumes is taking it to the next level.

Also, the lines of decency may be crossed with this one, if they are not careful, but I think they have enough sense to not allow those with rather risque costumes to enter the studio or ask that they try something more appropriate.

I won't comment on it until I see the show, but I do hope that it won't be a trainwreck.

Oh, it stinks that our friend, the Italian Chef will not be in this one as well...

"But hold on all you costume connoisseurs . . . we’ll want to see your faces, and you’ll want to be able to fit in your seat and COME ON DOWN easily, so no masks, huge hats, big headpieces or anything that restricts your movement or vision."

So it sounds like they're keeping a strict rulebook for costumes. We'll see what happens...I was actually wondering if they would ever try this.
Signatures are overrated.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't do that for Halloween, 2008, what with Roger gone and all.  I do like that they are keeping a limit on what kind of costumes the audience members can wear.

I still can't wait for the set decor, what Drew will be this year, and some Halloween Drewcases.

Last season's was taped August 20 - 10 weeks ahead, but then they didn't start taping Price Season 37 until the end of last July.

It's just how it is.

Drew could dress up as Michael Moore.
Brandi (if she's back) would be awesome as Sarah Palin.
Rachel could be Heidi Klum.  She's always reminded me of Heidi Klum.
Lanisha could be Beyonce?
As for Amber and Gwendolyn, I have no idea.
Rich could be Superman or something.  Oh oh oh...better yet...Captain Klutz Jr.

Personally, I'd like to see Drew and Rich dressup as Captain Kirk (Drew) and Mr. Spock (Rich).

I'd be interested in seeing the models as cavewomen.

True. In most of the seasons Christmas Week was taped in October.

O.K.  Maybe it'll work as long as Drew Carey plays Fred Flintstone and Rich Fields plays Barney Rubble and perhaps use some of the sound effects from "The Flintstones".

Lots of production companies have the Hanna-Barbera sound effects CD, so it's possible.

How about Drew and Rich as Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton?
