Celebrity Press Your Luck?
« on: July 09, 2009, 12:33:43 PM »
Was there ever an edition of PYL where celebrities played? Obviously it would have been for charity, but I wasn't sure if this ever happened or not. I remember the play at home contests with the people at home sending in post cards... but that's the only thing I can remember being different from just regular playings.

Any info would be great, thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, I don't think they ever had a celebrity edition of Press Your Luck.

Unless you count Whammy, there was a special edition for Mother's Day where celebrity mothers played. But as for PYL, I don't recall.

If you counted the Gameshow Marathon version, then yes.  It was Episode 4.  I don't have the tape unfortunately.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that version. I was mainly thinking of the Peter Tomarken seasons. Thanks for that info.

There was NEVER a celebrity edition of "Press Your Luck" during the 1983-1986 run.  They did, however, had a high school week and a college week during the second season.
