Valentine's Day 2009 opening (w/ added border)
« on: August 06, 2009, 07:49:25 AM »

My first added border to fill the void since The Price is Right nixed their border on
account of High-Def broadcasts.

I'm not sure but others around here have said that the light border's removal had little if any to do with the change to high-definition. At least thats what I heard.

For the last time: IT WAS NOT removed because of the switch to HD!!!!!

Well, I'm only going to ask this once. What was the real reason for the removal?

Mike Richards wanted it gone because he felt it made the show look "too dated."

tpirman1982, I'm not trying to pick on you personally--I've seen several other people do this.
Why do you put the quote below your response instead of above?

Whoopsie. I didn't realize that. But I do now.

To dated? What does that mean?

Basically, Richards is thinking the light border looks too old for the current show.

Too dated = not with it, behind the times, too old looking, un-modern, etc.

EDIT: What whammies said too.

Well, this is why I'm going to fill the void on special occasions.
'Cause in my opinion, the openings aren't as motivating without it.

Basically, Richards is thinking the light border looks too old for the current show.

I will still continue to use my homemade border replicas and computer-animated versions in my own projects.

Good man!  Personally, Price just isn't Price without the light border.
