Yes, the link is not working. But it is because the site is not working. I have a link to the Buzzerblog site on my computer and was able to get to it last evening but not this morning.

====================

AND....I was actually at a taping of WWTBAM yesterday. I had not heard the news before I was arrived so it took me by surprise when after the contestant had used one lifeline that the host said "You have two lifelines remaining." I had to look closely at the screen the next time and saw that lifeline was gone. In the 3 shows I saw the contestants did not do all that well. It was obvious to me that they had no intention of giving anyone $1M.

AND...yes, I said "host" instead of saying "Meredith". There was a guest host. I am not sure if telling you who it is would be considered a spoiler or not, so if y'all want to know, I'll tell you.

i want to know!

Well and if you think about it they have "Ask the Expert" which is practically the same thing as Phone-a-Friend. But it's the same situation too because the Expert's are using Skype via their home computer. so they do have quick access to google or whatever they use.

Wait...how do they have access to google? You can see what they're doing, and they have most likely been told not to use any sort of online source for info. Plus, with ask the expert, all the crew has to do is get a connection with the one expert for the week's worth of shows, and they're good. Phone a friends requires finding 2 or 3 people on the day of taping PER CONTESTANT to sit next to their land lines.

The only similarity is that they're asking someone else for help...heck...they don't even time the expert.

Another guarantee from the WWTBAM powers that be that the million dollars will never be won again.
I know.  In fact, they are putting ridiculous stuff to ruin the show which is what they are doing now.

As a n00b to the PAF circuit and as someone who is intrigued by the drama and excitement displayed when the lifeline is executed, I'm very disappointed by this news.

THis is a bigger change than any changes TPIR has made since Roger D. left. And people cried foul over LMAD's Big Deal having only one contestant and the Free Spin discs leaving WOF.

OK OK ....I'll tell you who the guest host was......

John Henson from Wipeout (and formerly E's Talk Soup). AKA "Skunkboy".

He did a pretty good job overall, but you can tell he was not totally comfortable. They had to re-record several questions and had to totally re-enact when a woman decided to walk away on a question that had some really hard stuff to pronounce.

However...we were told the shows will not air until MAY!

John Henson... that would have been amazing to be in the audience for that show.

"Good night, and Big Balls."

In my opinion, if it's not broken don't fix it.  ABC/Disney don't listen.  The show will lose ratings fast.

No....not really. At least not any more amazing than it usually would be. John said almost nothing at all to the audience. Only the stand-up comic, who was mediocre at best, spoke to the audience.

So, I can tell you that the taping of 3 shows took way longer than it normally would have with Meredith. We did not get out of there till 3:30.

Sometimes, though, it's too late by then.

Granted not every decision/change on every show will work, but in a world of ever-shrinking attention spans, sometimes you make a change because of what works best here in 2009, not 1999.  I can see the rationale--much as I'll miss it as a game show junkie.  Frankly, it had become 30 seconds of nearly dead air, with the occassional person figuring out how to use Google properly (or maybe they used Bing  Cheesy ).
