And the fact I didn't know anything was spoiled I think it should count.

$18,507 / $37,507

The IT guys are certainly taking their sweet-a** time fixing our office's Internet setup.  I have no idea when I'll be back to play CSS.  Could be Monday.  Could be the week after.  Could be Christmas.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

I would lean toward making this one count.  Yes, there were prizes revealed ahead of time, but as long as the descriptions and the actual retail prices were left out, I don't see how somebody could have used this to a significant advantage.

I didn't play, so what ends up happening won't be affecting me.  If I had played, it would have been another garf-fest anyway.

Quoting the CSS rules:

Quote
CSS not will be played if...

4. There are spoilers emanating from network press releases or local newspapers which divulge winning amounts and/or items in a particular showcase for a day's program.

sideshowPA reminded me of this, and what it says is pretty clear. There was information available on some prizes that could have given an unfair edge to some players; it was posted before the show aired, therefore it's a spoiler.

My final decision is based solely on my reading of the rules which I have revised each season, but were originally given to me by Robair. So it's not being done arbitrarily.

Sweet... my second straight win over Armadillo. I'll take what I can get at this point.

Due to this ruling, play of CSS is also cancelled tomorrow.

There is currently a spoiler on the website which gives two prizes in the showcases.

If priceisright.com is going to start "previewing" future shows more often, should we bend the rules slightly so that the CSS season isn't significantly shortened. Just a thought.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

If this becomes routine, I would have to agree.  The spoiler rule would be senseless if it results in CSS never being played.

If these spoilers only happen every once in a while, though, I see no problem with keeping the rule as it stands.

$19,000/$35,650 for Kristin... so she picks up her second straight win over me. :-(

You'd better turn that frown upside-down or you might not have a girlfriend much longer.  ;)

Meh..somewhat upset since I did better than I've been doing, but rules are rules. It could have been worse, though. I could have cashed or DSW'ed or something like that.

I respect your decision, Tom.

She knows about my competitive spirit. 8)

I really am proud of her, though. I still think I'll win the series, of course... but if she stays this close to me throughout the season, then that's very impressive.
