Sjd93's Price is Right - Episode 1 - SHOWCASE RESULTS
« on: October 29, 2009, 06:30:36 PM »
COME ON DOWN TO MY FIRST SHOW!

Well, I just got the green light from Frank to start my first-ever show! I'm very excited about this. For my first show, I am doing a simple half-hour pilot. If all goes well with this, then starting with show 2, I'll have normal hour-length shows.

And now, everyone's favorite part, the rules:

I will send you a PM if you are called down to Contestants' Row, or if you are selected as a replacement (hopefully that won't be necessary.) You will have 24 hours for everything, (bids, game decisions, showcase bids, etc.) If you miss a deadline once for a One-Bid, you get a second chance. If you miss a deadline for a game or showcase bid, you are out and shall be replaced.

If you know in advance that you can't make a deadline, PM me and I'll see what I can do depending on your situation.

Audience participation is more than welcome, except for the one-bids.

The show will start in 24 hours, or as soon as I have 6 players. Whichever comes first. In signing up, don't just do a generic "count me in!" Explain to me why I should pick you. Pretend I'm Stan. Make it funny, make it earnest, make it bizarre, whatever. As long as I'm entertained, you could be selected. If only six people sign up, then your responses will dictate who gets picked first.

I have a good feeling about this. So sign up below, and get set to have a great time!  :-)

I find it ironic how the show tries to mix up the prizes and offer "cool" things like over-stuffed trips and impossible to price items to make the show less "predictable." Yet, the same things happen every single time a show airs.

I'll go.

Pick me because the only reason I came all the way down here to LA was to be a contestant on your show, in contestant's row.

I'll play.

I'd make a good contestant because I'm a big fan of the show, and I know the rules to Check Game!

You don't yet have enough competition, so the person who's won five IUFBs in the past two days in the chatroom is throwing his hat in.

$799 for Priceguy. (ding) Gsn93, you're up.

Kitch: Since you signed up after I began the show, it wouldn't be fair to equally consider you in the contestant pool. However, I'll consider you as a replacement contestant should the need arise.

Just a reminder to Gsn93 that he has just a little more than 20 hours to bid.
