Drew's Entrance:  That was neat how Drew rode out on the train.  Too bad he didn't dress up like Santa Claus.
3 Strikes:  Curses! :-(
Cliff Hangers:  Nice job! :-)
Freeze Frame:  Way to not listen to "them", Rebecca! :-)
Pass The Buck:  Well, at least Diamond didn't pick both lose everythings.  I have nothing against Pass The Buck, but what happened to Gas Money?
Showcases:  Showcase 1 - What a tease at the end!  Showcase 2 - Shoulda ended with a car & Rich saying something like "After you're done shopping, you can load everything up in your brand new car/truck/van!"

Good show except for the showcases, IMHO.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!

Wow! Drew's entrance aboard the the Train was really nice.

One Bid 1: No Dreaded Tree Bid? Kind of a personal down in my part. Oh, well.

3 Strikes: "Oh, boy! An Audi(t)."

One Bid 2: I have a feeling that Troy's 420 bid is going to kill him in the near future....

1 Right Price: I just had this feeling $4915 is too much for a motorcycle. So I would've picked the kitchen unit.

Cliff Hangers: Very, very, well played.

Freeze Frame: I was still thinking about those stupid bids from a while back after seeing that piano. 8740 was a far cry from that.

Pass the Buck: I would have said 4 for my second pick as well.

One Bid 6: Holiday Karma?

Pick-a-Number: Yes, always trust your girlfriend.

Showcases: So there's the Tree. I must say, those Showcases were pretty good. However, remotes and pillows flew around my apartment. Where's the Tylenol?

I did wish that they would have a Christmas Day show tomorrow (a new one, I might add,), but they will be back on January 4th, 2010.

No, they'll be back on December 31, 2009.

To the OP/Mod, if I could be so bold, I'm pretty sure that there's an unintentional error in your coverage of Freeze Frame.  You actually have the number 39 listed twice in the sequence, and IIRC the 39 that preceeds the 95 should actually be a 54.  This was a pretty good red herring which the contestant had to avoid (and did, surprisingly!  I would have been suckered...) as the audience was pretty loud when the 5495 combination came up.  It was either 54 or 51...I'm almost sure of it, and I'm absolutely sure that there weren't two 39s in the sequence.

Hope that helps without coming off as too snotty or anything!

I rather liked today's show...with the exception of the DOB, but the contestants have no one to blame but themselves for that.  I hadn't seen 3 Strikes in so long that I'd forgotten that they'd returned to the original "Death To The Infidels!" format of play, which was/is rough.

I kinda cringed hearing Rich say "...this totally fun new snowmobile!" (????)

I hate the Honda scooter they have a lot where he always has to say: "Stripped-down badness."  *wince*
I apologise in advance.

I still haven't gotten over 12/23's "Friendly Snowman".

So, would you ride to see the friendly snowman on your totally fun snowmobile?

Conversely, would there be a prize package in which you would flee from the demented, mutant, cannibalistic snowman on your broken down, death trap snowmobile?

No Christmas tree at all? That's disappointing. And no, the tree in the Showcase doesn't count, since it didn't spawn a Dreaded Christmas Tree Bid.

So the tree isn't a tree because they didn't put the tree where thee wanted the tree to be?

Also, if Diamond (like the name) had followed the 1 or 6 rule, he would have had a truck. I wonder how long until people finally catch on to that, and they have to start switching things up?
Well, it's been five years and people still aren't catching on, so I don't think we have to worry about them switching things up any time soon.
