MUST HAVE BEEN THINKING OF R.J. BERGER: It seems Amber got a bit confused and, rather than take the $3500 pricetag over to the Trip, she revealed the price of the maid service instead. Since Alexandra clearly had committed her pick, she was not disadvantaged and the natural game outcome was not affected (I would have ruled it a loss). However, because Ms. Lancaster breached protocol the Pricetrust (or Drew - not sure whom) decided to declare a TECHNICAL WIN.

As to Amber, well, was there ever a time when you wished you were somewhere else? Don't worry. One minute later she was back to her old self.

OK, Alexandra got a fluke win there, but Julie's not going to receive any favors if she wants to stand next to Drew. She does have the last bid, though. Will she leave the Row behind or will Mimi be escorting her to the "First Four" Breakfast Club?

Let’s see, where to begin:
PAN: Forced loss
Pathfinder: Tough SP set up.
Swap Meet: A rare fairly easy setup by Kathy.
Hi Lo: Tough GP’s
Switch?: Going for a forced loss. I think Ms. Lancaster’s goof was the only way this game was going to be won.
Money Game: Greco is foiled!!!

Boy, that first-half lineup could have been slotted a lot better. I would have switched Swap Meet and Pick-a-Number myself.

Well, I hope Drew learned to leave the GP’s alone from now on.

Speaking of Hi Lo, what the hell was that crappy cue they used in that game? It was terrible!

Shockingly enough, the SP setup in Pathfinder was tough as usual. “Don’t let it come to the Panini Press.” I wonder if this was a subtle way of Drew telling Andrew that this is going to be tough because Kathy wants this game lost.

Somebody on staff must like Pick-a-Number more than Coming or Going.

Amber, Amber, Amber! At least this time it rightfully was Ms. Lancaster’s fault that we got a tech-win.

Pathfinder shouldn't have gotten to the panini press that soon.

When he stepped on the "6", I thought it was time for a new contestant.

I also didn't think Hi-Lo was too difficult. It should have been obvious the cups were kind of expensive.

Was Hi Lo really that tough, though? It seemed unusually easy considering how cheap the highest-priced product was.  The three products that belonged in the bottom row were all screaming super-cheap, while the yogurt and cups were just screaming "regular cheap."  Or I guess that's my way of saying "it looked harder than it actually was."

Well, I guess it's nice that the technical win wasn't Drew's fault for a change.  You can probably debate whether or not Drew should've given her the win, but in fairness, there's a good chance Bob would've given her the win as well.

Also nice to see the Money Game contestant pick all the wrong-looking low-but-not-first-two-numbers low numbers for the back of the car.  As deliberately as she was going at that, I have to wonder if she knew exactly what she was doing there :).

My only comment I have about today's show is echoed by joeyboy. When will Drew STOP messing with the items used in a pricing game. Today should be a lesson to him to leave them alone!

My grade for todays show: C

In all fairness, we just didn't have the right kind of contestant. He confessed that he's never really went grocery shopping.

Well, I guess it's nice that the technical win wasn't Drew's fault for a change.  You can probably debate whether or not Drew should've given her the win, but in fairness, there's a good chance Bob would've given her the win as well.

When has it ever actually been Drew's fault? Honestly I felt it shouldn't have been a technical win because whether or not Amber goofed the reveal, she still clearly lost. Maybe Drew has also noticed the massive decline in winners since Fingers took over and decided to be nice and give her the prizes.

Also nice to see the Money Game contestant pick all the wrong-looking low-but-not-first-two-numbers low numbers for the back of the car.  As deliberately as she was going at that, I have to wonder if she knew exactly what she was doing there :).

It seems like a lot of contestants have noticed that the trend for some of the car games is to go for the most incorrect looking price and not the most logical choice, especially in Money Game

What was with Amber today? They had already started playing "The Head Clown," Drew was telling her to switch, Lanisha was already moving over to the other side, and the entire audience was shouting "switch" to her. But she flipped it anyway. Yeah, we got another win out of it, and typically she's a great model... but that was weird.

I find it ironic how the show tries to mix up the prizes and offer "cool" things like over-stuffed trips and impossible to price items to make the show less "predictable." Yet, the same things happen every single time a show airs.

Remember Double Prices?

Hey, it happens to the best of 'em.

Hey, at least she didn't wreck any cars like Janice, and one of her co-workers did!  :P

Well a couple of products, example: the yogurt (or what was left of it), and the garlic bread looked like they belonged up top. But honestly, who would pay $4.29 on a package of 40 cups? I figured they would be about $2.00-$2.49 at the most.

I usually don't chime in on these anymore, but a few thoughts:

OB1: Drew's little bit after the guitar description seemed forced and not needed. I didn't like it. But I will say that I don't have a huge problem with the guests coming in and playing them during Rich's description.

PaN: Wow, how was that not 5?!?! I knew he had lost, but I think it would've been better had the 2nd or 3rd number been the mystery. Hope Fingers is listening.

Pathy: Meh....I didn't think the SPs were too horrible, particularly the donut maker. But they weren't easy, either. And the price didn't seem that unrealistic to me. But it isn't an easy game if you're not a LFaT, and it seems like it's been a while since we've had a win.

Swap: I thought the daybed was going to be the pick myself, but a well-earned win.

Hi Lo: OK, Drew, fumbling with the grocery items was funny the first time or two you did it, but it's gotten old. You took it too far today. I can't imagine the sponsors are too enthralled with him after that (particularly the yogurt). My concern is that Hi Lo is going to see the shelf for a bit after this one, and we'll start getting more PaP. As for the gameplay itself, it was tough, but I knew those cups had the potential to be evil.

Switch?: OK, the Amber blooper was kinda funny, you've gotta admit that. It added to the spontaneity, something this show should have at least most of the time. It didn't seem forced or scripted, simply an accident. I wouldn't want to see tech wins like this every day, but every once in a while I don't mind. And Drew handled it well, because hasn't the rule always been "If we make a mistake, we always act on the side of the contestant?" That's my understanding. Drew said it himself I believe earlier in the season. I do think Bob would have given it to her as well.

Money: I was convinced it was 49, but it was clear we had a contestant who had seen the game before. Wasn't expecting her to pull it out, but she proved me wrong.

SC1: 27K?!?! Really?
SC2: The Maxim....again. Don't they have a wider range of boats to choose from? Not to mention that thing is the bane of my CSS existence.

Message to Drew: I didn't think all of your antics were terrible today, but next time, cut down on the caffeine. Seemed way too hyper today. Excitement is good.....when it's controlled. Tone it down a bit.

Message to Adam: PaN is a terrible way to start the show. Also Switch 5th just seemed....awkward. What I might have done is switched PaN with Swap and Switch with Hi Lo (can't we play that other than 4th for a change?)

Overall, a reasonably enjoyable show. Nice to see 3 wins.

Fields: "That'll teach ya!".....TOTAL OWNAGE OF CAREY, AND I LOVED IT! GO RICH!

:-D (Now Carey, leave the damn grocery items alone!)

Amber and Switch, even more LOL! Didn't look scripted like the Skateboard Lanisha incident either. Really was a mistake.

As for Pathfinder, the Panini Press strikes again! I can see them using this product as a shootout in Secret X also(don't give them any ideas!)

I know Rich was joking, but I hope Drew realizes there is a limit as to how far he can go on that, and it sorta cost him quite a bit with the yogurt falling. I'm sure Rob did not enjoy that much today. :P

Thanks to a win-boosting Amber this show was OK - Panny he managed to avoid the dud 5 and had a toss-up, Pathy wasn't as hard but apparently the path can end anywhere now, H/L was OK but DOB-like low, Money was very good, that group had knowledge, and OK SCs. I'm definitely enjoying this start to the year more than I thought.

Pathfinder:  That was a dumb move stepping to 6!
Hi Lo:  I don't understand Drew smashing the products, but hopefully what happened to the yogurt will make him think twice before doing it again.
Switch?:  Whoops! I wonder if Amber thought Drew was saying "flip" instead of "switch."  It might've only been a technical win, but I'll still take it over a loss.

Not too bad overall, IMHO.

During "Switch?" Drew normally says that switching the prices is the hardest part of being a model and Amber proved it today!!  No, she didn't run into Laneisha, she just plain forgot what to do.  I thought it was hilarious, especially when they took a close-up of the confused Amber.   When Laneisha finally flipped her price, her body language indicated "Who gives a ****?  It doesn't really matter!!"
