The cash game which is seldom won anyway was almost guaranteed a loss, though of course you CAN win the top amount with one punch, so I really don't understand the whole deal with that.

Because there is only a one in 50 chance that the contestant will punch out the top prize compared to one in 25 from the game's early days through Season 36, there is a less likely chance that Punch-a-Bunch will be fully won under the new rules.

Bonkers:  What a lucky win!
Lucky 7:  That was an evil setup, although guessing 4 for the second number wasn't too smart.
Punch A Bunch:  The distribution of slips needs some serious changing.
That's Too Much:  The ninth price again!?  This is getting monotonous!

An okay show overall, IMHO.

I believe there was a wipeout in Punch a Bunch in 1982, but that's all I know for certain.

Fairly easy setups in One Right Price and Bonkers.  Although Jonna almost lost by breaking the sacred code of Bonkers: Never look to the audience for help during the game.  There were only four logical choices, with the 1st 2 numbers being L and H.

That was a very nasty price for Lucky $even, although I would've won with $3 to spare (my guess: $18,219).  It shouldn't have been lost that quick, though: Geri blew it when she thought the Cobalt was $14K.

Hurray for Take Two being played with the classic cue!

Another person that only gets 2 punches on the Punch-a-Bunch board, and another person walking away with $100.

Is Kathy ever going to make That's Too Much winnable again?  That's now 6 times out of the 13 times the price has been 9th, with the last 4 in a row being 9th.

I figured after the 1st 2 games, the show would at least have 4 winners.  Me and my silly thoughts...

Does anyone know how to play Bonkers anymore?  Well, I guess I'll give Jonna a pass, since she claims to have never seen the game before. (After 8+ years?  Hmmm...)

And speaking of Jonna, there is NO way such an attractive and youthful-looking lady could possibly be the mother of a 16-year-old! :o

Punch a bunch really sucks when only 2 punches are won.   Sometimes I wonder if they don't actually want a wipeout in this game.

When you combine a really tough L7 with a TTM in the 9th spot = Yuck

The show is so much more enjoyable when games are won or winnable.

I was surprised to see that neither of the first two games was a car game or a cash game.  This is the first time that's happened since May.

Wow.  Lucky Seven was really a terrible price.  The contestant was foolish to guess four as the second number (I guessed 8), but the 1 and 9 are pretty unfair.

Punch a Bunch wasn't too bad.  I guessed 3 out of 4 for the prizes.

That's Too Much with the ninth number.  I've only been watching for no more than 5 or 6, maybe 7 years, but I can't even remember a time with Bob that the number got all the way to the 9th choice.

What was with all the crappy prizes?  You can't have everything be great, but it seemed liked today had an inordinate amount of crappy prizes.  Women's accessories, the wine stuff in showcase two, the bathroom vanity, car stereo, the lounge chair in the first game.

Enough's enough with all these trips packed with expensive stuff (although the trip to St. Thomas did seem really nice).  I knew the Paris trip had to be upwards of $15,000.  Ghee whiz.

My showcase bids:

37231 for showcase 1
19168 for showcase 2

A wonderfully normal, average show that I have almost nothing to say about. Which was exactly the therapy that I needed after yesterday's disaster, so thank you CBS, and thank you Drew for toning it down today. I will say those: 2nd/9th all the time in TTM and prices like 18139 in Lucky $even really really really need to go. Overall, today was quite enjoyable to watch despite nothing spectacular happening though, which was nice.

Timings:
One Right Price (3.5) - 2:33
Bonkers (4.5) - 4:29
Lucky $even (4.5)- 3:33
Take Two (4.5) - 4:28
Punch A Bunch (5.5) - 6:08
That's Too Much! (5) - 3:52
Total (27.5): 25:03

I find it ironic how the show tries to mix up the prizes and offer "cool" things like over-stuffed trips and impossible to price items to make the show less "predictable." Yet, the same things happen every single time a show airs.

What a great quote!  Couldn't have said it better!

The way things have been going, playing Bonkers badly will get you the win. Not the lesson that we want to teach.

"Pick the 9th One" strikes again! This is getting absurd now.

I agree, although I would've preferred she came from Sydney and not Brisbane (but then again, I live in Sydney :!:).
