The clangers sound like a ship's bell.
Actually...it was a FIRE alarm bell used. Don't forget that that signal was also used for PERFECT bids.
It still is, as well as when the correct number is guessed in Pathfinder.
Does anyone know who is the "Mighty Sounds Effect Lady? BTW"
Hi....you all recall I started the topic about the losing horns question and I'm curious of something:Does anyone know who came up with and what kind of instruments they used for when contestant win at least $10,000 on the wheel, other cash prizes, and Double Showcase Winners? You all know what I mean? Whoo Whoo Whoooooooooo!!!! Thanks!
Not sure where the Double Showcase siren originated from, but IIRC, it used to be the doorbell sound on The Addams Family.BTW, remember the old TPIR Train "WOO-WOO" sound? I remember hearing it in a Three Stooges short where Shemp was dreaming he was dead and in Heaven. The "WOO-WOO" played as his way of whistling at a pretty angel who walked past him.
