Not to mention they didn't show the game on the turntable immediately after the prize descriptions as is usually the case, and didn't show the game at all other than the normal shot of the prize, gameboard, and contestant during the bidding.

I noticed that too. Wonder if there was something wrong with the game...?

Is the first commercial gone again or are the shows out of order?

Today was fun. It's my hope that Drew stops giving hints in Clock Game.

I believe that Drew could have said "Okay, the price is somewhere between $848 and $850", and she still would have lost.

I also thought it was odd that Clock Game was never shown.

What a great show. Great show and great lineup.

Melissa's playing of Clock Game was just terrible. (Her wig wasn't much better!  ;))

Range Game had another winnable setup! I wish I could say the same for PAN.

Let 'em Roll and Shopping Spree was a nice way to close out the show.

Count me in as one of the people who was faked out by that computer in Spree.

Those trips seemed so out of place to me in the showcases.

Did anyone notice in Let 'em Roll that Drew said "Damn skippy" after the second grocery price was revealed?  It seemed like he had an "oh crap" moment immediately after and looked right at the audience as if to see who reacted negatively.  I know everyone there is over 18, but for the sake of the kiddies who watch the show I didn't really like that.

SC2 was so lackluster it's pitiful.  An outdoor living room and a trip.  Zow-WEE.  It was kinda nice to see the Race Game curtain get used for SC1 though!

Well, Bob did it on Shell Game so I guess we can't be too hard on Drew even though it was a mistake. I just hope Skippy wasn't sponsored.  8-O

Ya know, after this and some other promotional flaps Drew's made, I'm starting to seriously wonder if the TPiR credits shouldn't include something like "The views and opinions in this program are solely those of the individual giving them and do not represent the opinions of CBS, FremantleMedia, or their subsidiaries."

Or maybe we should add an "s" to the word individual so it won't feel like there's fingerpointing going on.  :)

I was actually half expecting a digital clock game, a la Price '94, when I noticed they weren't showing the game. Wonder what the heck was up with that camera shot...

Why?  "Damn Skippy" is an expression.  That's all. It wasn't a comment on the quality of the product; it just happened that the brand name triggered him to say it.

Are you kidding? If I was a sponsor, I'd love it that Drew actually reacted to some of the products. More camera time is very rarely bad...

Doesn't have anything to do with commentary about the quality of the product.  Has everything to do with the fact that "damn" is not an approved term for a show ostensibly rated TVG.  Think!

From some TV Ratings site...

Quote
General Audience
Most parents would find this program suitable for all ages. Although this rating does not signify a program designed specifically for children, most parents may let younger children watch this program unattended. It contains little or no violence, no strong language and little or no sexual dialogue or situations.

I think we went past the point years ago that "damn" was considered strong language. Of course, it all depends on the person. I mean, some people could find the models in bathing suits inappropriate for children, and I don't see anyone complaining about them!

Wow!

They didn't show the game at all?  Not even the clock counting down the seconds?  I'll have to watch this on-line.  Strange!
