Nice to see cars return to the showcase. Let's hope that becomes a regular trend from now on.

Few things could be worse than pulling a Heels on a Porsche. That's heartbreaking.

Drew seemed really bored today.  His Card Game reveal in particular was abysmal.  He did a bad job with the Showcase reveal, too...you shouldn't ever know whether or not the contestant has won until the host actually starts saying the price.

Speaking of the Showcase, once it was revealed that the Porsche had been lost, Drew seemed to forget that the other showcase had actually been won, or that he even needed to finish the show.  He just kinda stood there, moping...it was ridiculously unprofessional, perhaps to the same degree as the perfect bid.

I do have to give him credit for the Shell Game reveal, though...he did a great job with that.

Why the hell would anybody want five hours on a private jet?  That's only enough time to fly to most places in one direction!

Good Lineup. I would have swapped Lucky Seven and Grand Game myself. Shell Game!  :-D :-D :-D

Boy, that is some expensive Cheez-Whiz.

That cue during O.B. #2 was awful!

I think Drew showing Tyra the $500 bonus in Shell Game kind of jinxed her.  :P

I wonder if the Shells to the right of Drew instead of the left is something new. (Not that it really matters!)

According to Willy, it looks like Shell Game had to be edited again because Drew decided to show Tyra that there actually is a ball under a shell.

I guess it’s a good thing the Porsche wasn’t won in the showcases because we’d probably go right back into extreme budget mode again.

Most people probably wouldn't. I know I wouldn't. But you know Mike and Drew...

That's one thing I wish he wouldn't do... he does it in pricing games, too. Unless he's going to do a dramatic buildup like Bob (which he actually did in a game a couple of months ago... I think it was Pocket Change), he doesn't need to look ahead of time.

Nice to see cars return to the showcase. Let's hope that becomes a regular trend from now on.

While I too think the best Showcases come with cars, remember that they are not an essential ingredient to have a good showcase.

If presented correctly (i.e., with an entertaining, well-written script), even the Showcase with the most mundane of prizes can be declared a "good Showcase," IMO. Remember that during the Johnny Olson years, many of the skit-based showcases had no cars in sight — that is, boats, trips, furs (before the Bob Barker veto) and rooms of furniture were the top-ticket items.

It's called salesmanship — making that showcase that has nothing more than a boring ol' trip the greatest thing in the world.

That said, such a good bid on the Showcase with the Porsche. Too bad he was over by less than $200. AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH H!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grand Game:  How the heck was that Cheez Whiz $4.59!? ???
Lucky Seven:  Rats! :-(
Shell Game:  I'm sure glad the ball wasn't under the only shell that did not have a chip in front of it!
Card Game:  Curses! :-(  Do they still have the $5,000 card in the special deck?
Showcases:  What a heartbreaking overbid!

An okay show overall, IMHO.

Grand Game: I felt I was taking a gamble on the McCormick cinnamon (Haven't seen McCormick products on a game show in a long time.). Between the cheese dip and the Curad, I really wanted to pick the dip. This was a sure crapshooot and (Joshua and) I blew it.

Lucky Seven: Man, this would have been a great comeback. Unfortunately, I was predicting that Cameron may not pick the dreaded 9. That happened.
Maybe it's because I need a new car, I was drooling all over that blue Impala.

Double Prices: I had to laugh about avoiding the Alakazam for the win.

shell game: "Dammit Drew! Ya jinxed the bonus attempt!"

1 Right Price: I don't know the prices of snowboard equipment, either.

One Bid 6: ... and neither does Krypali on six of the prizes.

Card Game: I thought Jeffrey was under by about $1500.

Showcases: Here I am thinking that Jeffrey was under with that $58,500, thinking he should have bid around $63,000 and we are both red in the face.

[It's okay for Bob and Drew to look ahead of time on Punch-a-Bunch, but not during Grand Game.]

Bob had them over the years of his tenure and I think during today's Lucky $even, Drew made his first previous contestant reference ever.  He alluded to Taylor, who miraculously won Lucky $even back in November, 2008.

They should have offered a round trip flight on a private jet to anywhere in the continental US. It would have made more sense than just 5 hours total.

The problem with [roundtrip airfare at contestant's choice] is there is no price possible.  With this card you had a tangible price.
They can be close at the top, too.

Good job with Shell Game Drew.  :P

I bid $69,000 on the Porsche showcase.  Over as well, but not by such a dispiriting amount.
