It's in the Bag was totally awesome.  Wins in that game are always incredible, and Drew actually did a good job of hosting it.

1 Wrong Price was totally supposed to be won.  Bonkers probably shouldn't have been lost, either.

After the second showcase, Drew said, "Wow, I don't think we've ever set anybody up with a business before!"  Uh, gee, Drew, did you ever think maybe there was a reason for that?  That coffee kiosk rivals the $6,000 toilet in terms of insanity.

(And God...it was $5,000 more than the car from the first showcase.  That's ridiculous.)

Speaking of the Showcase, the end was an absolute heartbreaker...and I'm happy to say Drew handled it the right way today, even dealing fairly well with a contestant who didn't realize she'd gone over.

Also speaking of the Showcase, I thought it was wonderful how Catherine passed the first showcase so Ashley could bid on some things she really needed.  (The look on her face when she saw that coffee kiosk, though..."Why did I pass that car, again?".)

You know, you wouldn't think it would be possible to foul up the script for an Every Room in the House showcase...but by golly, these people managed to do it.  Let's review how simple it is to correctly write one of these:

Quote
This showcase contains prizes for every room in the house!  And first, for the living room, there's this new HDTV!

(Insert TV plug.)

Next, for the workout room, a new treadmill!

(Insert treadmill plug.)

And for the kitchen, cook whatever you want on this handy range!

(Insert range plug.)

Finally, in the bathroom, enjoy this luxurious whirlpool tub!

(Insert bathtub plug.)

And we're done in the house, but we can't forget the garage, where you'll find...this beautiful new car!

(Insert car plug.)

And this showcase, featuring prizes for every room in and out of the house, can be yours if the price is right!

And ya know, while we're at it, let's do the second one, too...only without the kiosk, because there's no way that stupid thing should have been offered:

Quote
Catherine, this showcase contains prizes revealed as Lanisha sets up a coffee kiosk in her yard.  And she's planning to do a lot of business, so she's hooked up your first prize -- three new coffee makers!

(Insert coffee maker plugs.)

And she's going to need a lot of beans to run through those makers, so she's also ordered enough coffee...for the next year!

(Insert coffee plug.)

And how did Lanisha know which coffees to order?  Why, she spent her time doing research while she was on her last vacation...in beatiful Kona!

(Insert Hawaii plug.)

Catherine, it's a wonderful showcase for you, and it explains why Lanisha can't stand still lately...on The Price Is Right!

...and after reading through the thread, guys, I don't think some of you noticed why Drew took so long at the end of the Showcase -- Ashley thought she'd won, and he had to explain to her that she'd overbid.

Right, it's not like there was an insanely popular MTV program set there which spun off an even more popular show or anything.

I'm sorry....I forgot about those "classic" reality shows.  So, computing the size of MTV's audience and the average age of their viewers, I will correct myself and say 90% of the Price Is Right's audience has never heard of Laguna Beach.

I hate MTV as much as anybody, but let's be realistic... that show has made a lot of people aware of Laguna Beach. You can't even hear the name of the place without thinking of the show.

  yay!!!!   Nice to see the car that i drive in the showcase, a Toyota Yaris!!!   That car must have been a cheap model, probably not much more than $15,000+.  I paid $13,800 for mine back in May 2007.

Drew did a great job too!!!!

Push Over: Laguna Beach? I shudder.

in the bag. at first i thought it would be a bore but the 16000 win hyped me up

Any Number: On the computer; I did not watch but heard the play, and I predicted Ashley would win the pig. Unfortunately, I was right.

One Wrong Price: Something told me it had to be the wine cabinet for some reason. At least I was right on the hunch.

Bonkers: Uh, ew.

One Bid 6: "Y'all basically gave Catherine that grill! Thanks!"

Line 'em Up: For the second chance, I had a feeling the fourth number would be a 7 instead of a 1. The buzzer confirmed it.

Showcases: "Ooh, an ERITH." "Ugh, by $93!"

Despite the fact that I have never seen the show, heard of anyone on it, or what anyone did on the show, even *I* can't help but think of it when the name is mentioned.

I just have one thing to say: Drew was AMAZING during It's in the Bag! That was some awesome hosting.

Oh yea!!!

That was like a dream out of Price's great past.  The best game interaction since Taylor's memorable "Luckey 7" win!

If he could only try to maintain that level of energy from show to show, there would be no reason to complain about his hosting anymore.  I saw that segment at CBS.com.  He was AWESOME in that sequence!

In my view, when do we see Drew's greatness?  Which sadly isn't often enough?

1.) A game with a big payoff leading to a big win.

2.)  One Away (Probably Drew's best game overall)

3.) Cliff Hangers

4.) The Donut Maker as a small prize!

5.) Something comical or slapstick planned or otherwise, which Drew relates well, but fans of Price, especially LFAT's do not like.
