I was watching TPiR today and one game came up that has the absolute worst price reveal, IMO. What's the worst price reveal in your opinion?

I've never been really partial to the reveal of That's Too Much, just because for all the fun that the actual gameplay offers (forgetting the evil price placements), it all comes down to "Is that right?"  And that's never really excited me.  What they should do is something like the Card Game reveal, tell us the ARP aloud instead of flipping the price tag over.

But the reveal for Coming or Going is absolutely horrendous too.  Like jzion said...there isn't one to speak of.

My first instinct was Coming or Going.  Then I scrolled down.  Turns out I'm not the only one.

Outside of that, there's nothing really I can think of in any other current game.

I'd also say Coming or Going and it's lack of a proper reveal.

That's Too Much doesn't need a reveal...everyone knows it's always the ninth one!  Laughing

Not necessarily. Sometimes it's the second one.  Razz

However, my vote goes to Coming or Going.

Agreed on Coming or Going.  Would there be any way they could redo the prop to add one, perhaps adding an indentation to the bottom center to place a slip that a stagehand behind the prop could pull up at the reveal time?

Well, they were planning to add a model price card reveal, but scrapped it before the first playing...

More game graphics sit in this corner. Here you can see a One Away 5. Bet you don't know where the $7565 comes from. That's because it was never shown on TV. This was the card used in early rehearsals of Coming or Going. It was held by a model and used to reveal the right price. This part of the game was eventually taken out.

Beats me as to why they scrapped it, but it really would have helped the price reveal.

Maybe I can skew this in a different direction, of games that DO have an actual price reveal, what are the worst?

I would say double prices/one right price just because of how plain it is.
