When did Drew say "They say nobody ever gets close on the showcases anymore."

That's Too Much
: Same old same old. I wish they'd retire this game.
Don't say that!! We've had enough games retired in the last year or so, we don't need any more getting "axed."

Thats too much! is a great game for the show. The average viewer more then likely does not see the pattern of 2 or 9 for it, and car games are exciting to watch and even better for the show when they don't give away the car-keeps their budget intact.

Yay for having a car game fourth! Boo for it being That's Two Ninth!!
Well, let's see, Drew. On the last episode, the difference on showcase #2 was $10,484. The day before that, it was $24,933. So yeah, we say that.
If "they" say it doesn't happen "anymore," maybe the show needs to do something about it... like make the darn showcases price-able again. The crazy stuff they're offering these days? All the contestants can do sometimes is pick a number out of thin air and hope for the best.
How does one price something like a VIP package to a Harlem Globetrotters game? Or a week at a "private villa" in Mexico?

Caisha was an LFAT and one of the contestants that truly made this show a joy to watch. She had interesting interaction with Drew and showed that she clearly knew Race Game from the moment she saw was going to play it. Other than that, today was a lot we've seen before, though today was one of Drew's better hosting jobs recently. Was nice to see a relatively good normal show, but as you'll see in the timings below, some things have become normal that I wish weren't....
Timings:
Coming Or Going (3.5) - 2:49
Stack The Forced Loss (5.5)- 5:51
Race Game (5) - 4:00
Pick The 9th One (5) - 3:37
One Punch Only (5.5) - 5:22
Switch? (3.5) - 2:43
Total: 24:22

Right after the first showcase price was revealed.
Did he look over at the producer's table or was it in the opposite direction. The way he said it and looking off to the side it seemed like he was subtlety calling out the producers.

Coming or Going: I totally forgot or came in late as to the location of the trip. However, 7369 seemed good anywhere moreso than 9637, especially for a first game.
Stack the Deck: I probably would have gotten only two numbers. It just got ugly after the first pair of products.
Race Game: Why was on the phone when this was on? I tried to get as much attention as possible. It just seemed a little weird to put the $1438 for the XBox 360 package. I was predicting Caisha got those wrong as well. She shut me up.
That's Too Much!: I just didn't think $15,001 would be too much for a Jeep like that, so it's gotta be whatever the ninth price is. To me, the right price had to be between Elliot's pick and the ninth price. So, once again, I had to chant, "That's Two Ninth! That's Two Ninth! That's Two Ninth! ..." To the point where I'm (and a few others here) are calling the game That's Two Ninth!. That's Two Ninth!
Punch-a-Bunch: I think I would have ended up with one punch as well.
Switch?: Okay. This was another tough crapshoot. I wanted the clock to be more than the pool table, but recalling that a pool table can be a very expensive prize, I really had to think about this one a moment. I decided to leave the prizes alone. Pity.
Showcases: I would not have passed the first Showcase if it wasn't for the train trips.

And the show was really bad today.
That's Two Ninth again. The moment I saw the second price I knew it was in the ninth spot and the contestant almost went to it too.
A really hard setup in Punch a Bunch.
Stack the Deck was hard too.
I couldn't believe they gave away a stupid children's bed in the first showcase. The odds the contestant bidding will children young enough to like Thomas the Tank Engine and actually like it too are very low. That was just a terrible thing to give away.
The trips really fooled me. I thought the European one was a lot more expensive.

There's a difference between "keeping the budget intact" and "making a game unwinnable."

Man... I thought we'd actually see "Pick the Ninth One" won for a change. It darn near happened.
Drew's comment during the Showcase ARP reveals really disappointed me. That was a clear slam at this site, and it was completely illogical, as well. One good bid doesn't erase all the countless GOTCs that have been forced because of the ridiculously expensive showcases they've had.

I haven't really seen the show since winter break due to my new schedule but TTM was set for 9th again??
Are you kidding me??
I was never a fan of the game in the first place but now I REALLY REALLY wouldn't mind seeing it be retired lol.
Don't hate the game... hate the way that they're setting it up. I mean, I'm not a fan of That's Too Much, but the game itself is not the reason that it's being lost.
