I know some of the members of the game show fan community deride big money shows like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and Deal or No Deal for being too simple and offering ungodly prizes to what they think are undeserving people, those who don't really apply themselves under the stress of being on camera.  I stumbled across this article about how one college professor thinks that these big money shows really allow average joes to achieve what he calls "The American Dream." 

I can see another reason of why some people don't like these big money shows; they are a way for people to get ahead in life instead of just relishing in the experience of being on TV.  Give it a read and post what you think.
