Well good show today.
Dice Game - Too bad she didn't roll a 1, 4, 5, nor 6 on the 2nd die otherwise she woulda won the car.  :-(
1 right price - I knew he shoulda picked the handbags as the right price :headbang:
Check out - So easy a caveman could do it  :-D
Safe Crackers - Another easy game and won  :-D
Spelling bee - it's a good thing she got 1 of the prizes right otherwise it woulda probably been a wipeout unless she bailed but she won thankfully  :-D
Freeze Frame - I woulda won myself i knew the price was 6322 but she was too stupid.
Not bad of a show today.

A rather mean spirited and rude comment.. She was not stupid, she merely was getting too much advice from the audience.

I'd have killed to be in the studio today.

Check-Out was crazy.  Drew even did a pretty good job hosting it.

I don't know what's more stupid -- playing Double Prices for two prizes or playing Safe Crackers for one prize.

They can't be happy that they gave away a restored car they can't afford and a Mustang they can't afford on the same day.

I've gotta give kudos to the editing department.  They did an amazing job of making showcase #2 not look like it was a fiasco.

Kitch, my jaw dropped when I saw that HTML table of yours for Spelling Bee.  Awesome.

And speaking of which, the win on that game was a miracle.  When she had the "R" as the first card I thought, "Could it be?"

If you've already seen the recap, refresh it. I made a minor change. Only the chosen tile numbers are bolded.

Hold on, how was it a fiasco in the first place?
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Willy mentioned something about a "defunct prop" being used, but that was edited out.  Was Willy full of hot air when he said that or was there truth behind it? I don't know.

Safe Crackers was about the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. I was watching the show with my mom today, and from the "Joe Plinkos do Notice" file: 'Why are they offering two sets of kitchen appliances? Couldn't they say it just once?" and I then had to explain to her how dumb they were and how they were fitting it into the overall scheme of Safe Crackers. And this is why themed prizes can be a terrible idea: you never know when it's going to collapse and just look terrible like today.

Let's just say the second showcase cost $10,000 and was worth about an hour of stopdown time today....

They REALLY couldn't afford to give away that Spelling Bee car, could they? And then the Mustang was won in the showcase too....that was just awesome. I hope they go bankrupt at this point.

This wasn't that terrible a show except for the bad Safe Crackers and Spelling Bee prizes though, thankfully.

Timings:
Dice Game (4.5) - 3:37
One Right Price (3.5) - 2:47
Check-Out (5.5) - 5:53
Safe Crackers (4.5) - 3:42
Spelling Bee (6) - 5:42
Freeze Frame (4) - 3:33
Total time (28): 25:04

So uh, Safe Crackers for 1 prize. Ok.....

Ah, Spelling Bee for a restored GTO. If they really wanted to not give that car away, they should have played a harder SP game.

I wonder what happened in Showcase #2 that made it a disaster.

I don't know why but I think based on Kev's comment, they forgot to reveal the Mustang convertible at the end, or the Power Wheels car was crashed into one of the doors for laughs.
