I could do without the "LE PEW!" "EL SKUNKO!" and the extra stuff in the recaps. I thought we were going to be rid of that when Joe C. stepped down.
I thought (and hoped) it might too, but alas. It remains.

Drew was superb today!

Bonkers was played very well. If only it was won...

Five Price Tag's second just seems weird to me. Don't know why.

That's too Much! Set up fairly again???? Sweet.

Well, at least there were no trips in the showcases, and one of them was won today too!

No offense to you guys, but what's wrong with a little light-hearted humor?

I'll step in before anyone takes anything the wrong way:

Marc and I are still in the decision making stages to reassign this forum to a new leader following Joe's departure.  I can assure you all that all of the candidates we are considering have assured us that while they may carry over some of the format we have grown familiar with, all have assured us that they come with their own personality.

Please do not criticize those who are giving their time to provide us with recaps during our transition phase.
John

Wait, so you're telling me that the last prize in the showcase was the cheapest?  How does that make any sense?

And then he does that.
The show went overbudget and, right or wrong, liked or disliked, this is their way to try to get it back to a reasonable level.

Plus, you know, quite a few contestants who couldn't win a "bobbing for water" contest.

Well at least it wasn't another El Skunko.

What's "El-Skunko?" Six losses and a double overbid?  No games won should be a skunking?

El Skunko is the term used by some of our members to describe a show where all six games were lost and there was a double overbid in the showcase.

"Skunked" and variations of the word is the term used to describe a show where all six games were lost.  Didn't Bob first coin the term years ago?  I heard this story once but never went about trying to dig deeper into it.

Regarding the second part of your post, what are you trying to say?  It's like Yoda and Tonto's vocabulary got intertwined, if I'm honest.

Hahahahaha!!! That was a typo.  I corrected it to say, "No games won should be a "skunking.""  Using E-Skunko and other phrases might cause confusion.  But we will have to wait for the official recapper next season to see how he/she approach this.

I guess I'll clarify. I was saying that at least one of the showcases was won, so it was a little less depressing and dire than Monday's show.

My point is that any of the in-recap text is annoying. Whether it is STUPID BID or EXACTA or anything. I don't care for it.

Wait a minute. Wouldn't you want to hear about it if someone gets part of the recap wrong? Or if we don't care for his editorial style or his use of language? I think there's reasonable complaining and piling on, and I don't think the thread had gotten to piling yet.
