This show just puzzles the heck out of me sometimes. You'd think that they'd want to HIDE the fact that they were offering a less than $13,000 car in Pass The Buck, but, no, instead they have a special "hatchback" car graphic. Fantastic.

I'd like to know how they went from Cliff Hangers into Race Game without a stopdown (they probably couldn't, right?) Today's lineup was just strange.

Overall, today wasn't bad though. Drew and Rich seemed to have some of the energy back that was missing yesterday. We had a really silly loss (Make Your Move) and I was worried we were in skunking danger, but we had a very winnings-heavy bottom half of the show to make up for it.

Timings:
Cliff Hangers (4.5) - 4:42
Race Game (5) - 4:27
Any Number (5) - 4:27
Make Your Move (4.5) - 3:47
Flip Flop (3.5) - 2:58
Pass The Buck (5.5) - 6:34
Total time (28): 26:55

An okay show today with two wins out of six. Let's hope we can end the week with a bang.

We could've easily had yet another skunked day where there were a few winnable games, with MYM set up for a sure win.

Cynthia is probably the best Race Game player I've seen in years.  She moved quickly and didn't do anything stupid.  It's a real shame it didn't help her win the game.

How the hell was Make Your Move lost?

Dear God, they actually offered a twelve thousand dollar car.

The first showcase could have been presented so well...a Beauty with a picture frame for the maid service, then a trip skin, and then the skin lifting up to reveal the car.

Speaking of the first showcase, did anyone notice that it was bimonthly maid service?

I did; I factored that in when I was playing CSS, and it paid off for me.

Cliff Hangers:  Heartbreaking loss!
Race Game:  Pretty nicely played even though Cynthia didn't win all 4 prizes.
Any Number:  Pretty exciting even though Justin won the piggy bank.
Pass The Buck:  Great win!
Showcases:  Fantastic bid by Justin!

Pretty good show overal, IMHO.

She did do one stupid thing.

If I was tracking things correctly, Her last switch was to move two prices back to positions that were already established as wrong. If she hadn't made that last switch, she would have had 2 out of 4 instead of 1 out of 4.

But I suppose it's easier to pick up on that watching at home as opposed to when you're onstage actually doing it.

It was pretty cool to see the retro lineup in the first half. Felt like we were going back to the 80s!

Maybe I have no idea about Race Game, but I'd imagine that would happen.  Heck, even Grand Game seemed hard while I was up there, because every time I wanted to pick the cheese (at least, until the last pick) something else came out of my mouth.

Several things are becoming painfully obvious, even to the casual viewer of the show. My wife has never been a big fan, and rarely watches with me. However, I'm laid up recovering from knee surgery, and she's doting over me right now, so I am catching up on a lot of TIVO, and she's watching with me. Here are some things she said this week:

1) The prizes stink. They are giving away really cheap stuff. Well, they are offering cheap stuff. It doesn't seem like anyone wins anymore.

2) They deliberately make it nearly impossible for people to win. That's not fun to watch.

3) Drew sometimes seems like he's bored to be there.

4) Why do you watch this show again? Let's Make a Deal is much more fun to watch. Let's just watch that.

I think TPIR is doomed. When the casual fan is noticing these things, it's bad.
