Lucky $even was downright evil this morning.

It amazes me that even when he's going out of his way to be sensitive to a woman whose sister had just fainted, Drew still manages to come off as tactless.

But if the contestant had picked a really low number right out of the gate, there might've been a shot at a win. Really, if there's any time to pick an extreme number, it's on the second digit, because it's the only one anybody would hav any clue about if they know prices.
Exactly. It was tough set-up, but a good contestant would have at least had a fighting chance. For a Jeep, picking a 1 as the second digit would be a good risk to take.

Ironically, one of the two games won today was one of the harder ones for me. I thought the Push Over shower would have been more expensive: I would have lost that one. On the other hand, I guessed the correct price for Squeeze Play (prices ending in "99" actually seem to be good guess for motorcycles, ATVs and the like). I picked the right two numbers to change in One Away. I thought Easy as 1-2--3 was easy. It seemed like everyone in the audience new the right answer. I got all three SP picks right in 1/2 Off. The first pair might work against non-viewers, but benefit regular viewers. It's not that the TV timer control thing seems cheap -  I could certainly see that being pricy. But $22 seems cheap for a blender no matter how modest. But that blender has shown up (maybe more than once) earlier this season, so I knew that was the right answer.

I would have lost just two games: Lucky $even and Push Over. I would have hit the jackpot in the 1/2 Off game with Box #15 (my birthdate). Eazy as 1-2-3 was super eazy for me and pretty cool, with an extended play of the ditty.

As far as our "fainter" goes, and the replacement of her sister, the stopdown for that "event" went on for some time as S&P was brought in to discuss what was to be done about replacing a contestant who had fainted and obviously not be able to continue.  Do they call a new person to replace her?  Do they wait endlessly for her to be able to continue on?  Do they replace her with another member of her "group"?

Obviously we saw what the final decision was.

I used to find SC2 decent, but you don't, and I know why and I agree.
When you offer a test drive for a sportscar, you need at least a sportscar then (even if it's only a Genesis).

I found this particular point when I wrote the showcase in my HYO #3 for a French board. I offered a sexed-up trip to Price land (Los Angeles), with a Lincoln as a rental car. I was forced to offer the same kind of car then (Citroën C6) (the showcase was lost).

HYO: $75,515 (SC 1/2 (loss against a DSW), PG 2/2, getting up on stage 2/8 - 2 FFBC)
CSS: 2 wins, 1 DSW, 2 WSD, $202,298, best bid $118.

From what Nam told me the day he told me what happened and even today, that Rhonda was backstage watching the rest of the show with the producers and she was doing ok.  He told us today that the fainting actually happened in the middle of the 3rd IUFB, so I imagine there was some editing.

So what really happened is, they had originally done Heather's calldown, and then Rhonda fainted. So after they determined their course of action, they put Janet in the row and re-taped Heather's calldown. (Because in the final airing, Janet was in the row already when Heather was called down.

Just one thing Kitch : you've put "LOSS" at the winner of the showcase.

Does anybody know if Janet retains her eligibility?

My thought on this is that since she is acting as a proxy for her sister, and she would not be receiving prizes herself, she should retain her eligibility to be on the show in the future. But, on the other hand, she did appear on the show, which typically makes one ineligible...

Janet's eligibility was not affected; she can be called down and win her own prizes if she's ever in the audience again.

Drew worded it awfully vaguely on air - it can be manipulated as "Rhonda didn't exist and everything Rhonda bid is now Janet's" or "Janet is a proxy for Rhonda and doesn't lose eligibility".  I seriously doubt that both of them lost eligibility, though.
They can be close at the top, too.

I was chatting with Nam after this happened, and he said her eligibility wasn't.
