Finally, what on earth made Showcase #1 so expensive?!

The Sheraton in Beijing ain't exactly a Holiday Inn... $$$
And go shopping for a hot tub one day..  you'll be shocked at what they can go for.

Now, do we have to take the lords name in vein

Oh boy! Religion on a game show forum!

Both of today's shows were chock full o' loss (it got tiresome watching them back-to-back on cbs.com). But, evil as some of the setups were in this episode, a good number of those games were winnable. An clearly caved under the pressure of the screaming audience. Funny, it would have handed her a win if she'd reacted to it quickly enough. Hole in One, on the other hand, got tossed by the peanut gallery; Paula would have putted from the fourth line if she hadn't reversed her decision (though that was a hard setup, considering the $3.99 juice belonged on the fourth line). Clock Game definitely should have been won, and Easy as 1 2 3 was just terrible. Manuela can't save you when you play that badly.

Not much to say about this one except that Clock Game could've been played a heckuva lot better and that on Hole In One, I like the Inspiration Putt after the reveal of the prices of the items better.

Just saw the episode, and will agree with everyone about Drews "1,300" comment in Clock Game. It totally screwed her up.
Also not sure what was going on with the inspiration putt in Hole In One.. it came before the prices reveal and seemed to screw up the flow of the camera shots.

Let's stop right now with the "Kitch, a correction is needed" posts.  If something was wrong,  and you feel this need to tell him he made a mistake, do it privately via a private message.

If Kitch has a problem with it, let him come in and say it.

Also, Kitch, the unrevealed digit in Lucky $even was a 2, per Drew's mutterings at the end of the game.  :P

There seemed to be an edit between the second and third products being placed. And once she did make up her mind, I think Drew made a comment something along the line of "..after an hour". Plus the models were still placing the flags even as Drew finished putting. There looked to be a bit of confusion in there.

Kitch specifically said he doesn't mind such corrections. Kitch does a great job. I don't think anybody means anything negative about him by pointing out a typo in a polite tone.

That was a painful Clock Game. Realizing that should narrow it down by coming at the price with bigger leaps and from both sides (higher and lower) shouldn't be such an advance game play concept. I would've have lost the same way on Safe Crackers. I didn't realize this was a skunking until I read the recap. I didn't find it as soulcrushing an episode as one expects from a skunking.

Only four shows in and we've already got a skunk. That's not good... although it's a bit nice to know that it wasn't because of evil setups.

Clock Game was, in a word, pathetic.

Hole in 1 or 2:  We learn or should learn to think for ourselves in kindergarten or 1st grade.

Pushover:  Weird prize combo lead to a predictable loss.

When did TPIR become the Jennifer Hudson show?  I am so tired of seeing her ads before the Showcase Showdowns.

Not to be outdone by the Clock Game contestants. we blow an easy set up in Safe Crackers.

Another 2 price offering in a 1 prize game.  Amazingly stupid.

Lucky 7 was a "Fingers Special":  Set up for a loss.

Kroger has a special on Tomato Juice.  The 1st round is on me!!

Speaking of car games we haven't had a car game played in the 4th spot in a while or shall i say that often in season 38 we should have that more often in season 39.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

Easy?  Ask 100 people on the street whether a random pile of towels and stuff is $450 or $540, and I guarantee the majority won't guess $540.

...also, who's in charge of writing showcases over there?  How can you possibly justify having a showcase full of junk with iPod ports in it...and then end it with a trip, putting the car (which can easily have an iPod dock of its own) in the other showcase?

The Hydropool must've been pimped. I looked the Titanium 800 up afterward and the price I got was $14k.

I hated the inspriational putt before the reveal. It really interferes with the game-playing.

Remember TPIR, this is a GAME show. The contestant made her choices and I want to see how the contestant did compared to my choices.

It is wrong-headed for Drew to take the attention away from the game resolution and doing something that is really has always been self-serving.

hopefully, this was a one-time deal.

The inspiration putt before the reveal (which I intensly disliked) might have been one of those things where someone thought "let's do it differently" as if doing things differently (just for the sake of doing things differently) is something creative.

It's a little thing to change but it really is not a good place to have it. Let's see how the contestant has done first and then let's indulge in some extraneous activity (it the inspirational putt really neccessary to beging with?---Bob made it fun---Drew, not so much)

If this is permanent, it's not a good change.
