CSS Results for 9/27/2010
« on: September 27, 2010, 12:28:20 PM »
2 DSW's today, well done Goldenbulldog and TruncatedPR; 60K for GB
Wolfman got the best bid on the "Exactly $40,000 showcase" and gets the same amount in cash.

Now, there was a player that did submit a bid of $40,000 on SC2... However, he submitted a 2nd bid, well within the time frame and listed it as a correction from a bid of $30,000.  The rules state unless it is an obvious error, such as 150,000 instead of 15,000, the first bid counts... So even though 30K could have been an error, it isn't obvious... I remind everyone to please type your bids, look at them, make sure you have bid what you wanted, and then, hit send/submit.... you never know when it may cost you 8x points and cash for that day.

And I can't believe stage player SC1 bid... and to still win... Evil M.O.D.

One day without garfing or overbid. Massive improvement.

That second Showcase was screaming for an exacta. I'm surprised there weren't more.

As for me...I'll take another top 10 finish. Maybe I don't suck at this game after all.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Sorry ladies and gents, but I just have to do this:

This is the earliest DSW that I've ever had to start off a season.  Hopefully, I can keep this up!  :-D
I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your love, affection and loyalty to me, drew, the models and.... The Price is Right....thank you for being such a "Loyal Friend & True". -Rich Fields (in an e-mail sent to me on 3/17/2010)

I have no complaints about not accepting my correction. I said in the chat room not to accept it, I felt bad when I realized the correction would lead to an exacta.

24 players all over 80 points... not a bad day.

Would suck if I weren't in that above group, but fortunately I am... ;)

Wow...didn't think I did that well. I almost debated raising my bids too.

We'll have to see how well I do on future days.

This is beginning to sound like a broken record, but I can attribute yet another garf to my having to play blind.  If I had known the BBQ in SC2 was actually a full outdoor kitchen island, I would have added about $4K to my bid.

At least I scored over 80 points this time.  :P

$24,200/$37,300... I believe this is my third DSW already this season. Easily the best start to a season that I've ever had.

Kristin's bids: $24,000/$37,000... it happened again! Two very close sets of bids, but mine are higher, so I squeak out a victory.

P.S. I notice the evil Mustang talk cropping up again... please no. I mean, that's like saying the green Maxum boat is evil.
