CSS Results for 9/28/2010
« on: September 28, 2010, 12:14:37 PM »
SC1, bleh... Hard for me to get excited about snowmobiles
SC2, Maxum anyone? Apparently, some of us still don't know how to price them. We still had bids of less than 50% of the ARP of that showcase.  Only 4 people didn't garf that one

Kev DSW's again and cashes, followed behind by Wayoshi with the x,x06 winning difference on the Maxum...

GRWhammy had a $20 WSD, of course it was paired with a GOTC...
Kitch had a great bid on SC1 and an even better one by TPIRSteven ($5 shy of double points), but, too bad Kev played today to steal the cash

Poor Kitch can't catch a break this week. But I managed to... I'm on the board :D
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Maybe I don't suck at this game after all.

Nope...I was wrong. I still fail. Perhaps I should eat my words.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Yeah...I'm really not sure where the rest of you were coming up with those ridiculous bids on SC2.

Too bad I went a bit overboard on the snowmobiles.

Another day of points and no GOTC, not bad.

I know the price of the evil boats and evil Mustangs, it's just the prizes that go with them that flummox me.  I remember that we had a 14-day Panama Canal cruise that didn't break $10K last year, so I was inclined to stay in the lower end.

As for the first showcase, I played it blind (with readout) and might have gone too high if I'd seen it.  I'm always impressed by pairs of things and tend to round up with disastrous results...

$18,200/$32,300... another day, another win. Still waiting on Armadillo's bids from Friday's PM show before I update the scoreboard.

And once again, plenty of cheap stuff = obvious trap, in which I fell. My bid on SC2 was not poor, for one time...
Le Juste Prix, my childhood gameshow, and love TPIR.

BigJon, how come my bids aren't up there?  I sent in bids of $21,120/$31,130, good for fourth place (and a measly $5 away from a DSW).

Wow, luckiest DSW ever. I always find those pairs of things that aren't really pairs (i.e. 1 of 1 kind of snowmobile and 1 of another) really annoying to bid on, and I didn't know the prices of half of them, so that was pure luck. I definitely sympathize with everyone who went over on 1. What the heck was in those cruises in Showcase 2, though?

Kristin's bids: $23,360/$30,400... I guess she really liked those snowmobiles. Actually, she did like the pink one. :P
