1972 TPiR cues available soon?
« on: October 04, 2010, 07:28:54 AM »
According to TVPMM, "Added "The Price Is Right" 1972 Moog reel (46 cues) to the Vault".

"The Vault" is a private, members-only section being implemented for an annual membership of approximately $50.  Unfortunately, it seems this is inaccessible at the current moment.  When it does become available, who is going to be getting these gems?

Ooh! I sure hope someone is willing to register for that and get them for us.

I don't think you understand how this works.

The reason they are behind a paywall like this is because people are lifting cues to put on their own sites.  While I understand the motives behind this move, it sucks because a select few are essentially ruining it for everyone.  Looks like all the music is going behind a wall as well.

I probably will not pay at all - not because I don't appreciate the work (I followed some of the ad links for his benefit) but I had emailed him a couple times giving him some information on the '85 Price cues (numbers, locations, etc.) and never responded (and items were never updated).

They can be close at the top, too.

If someone is able to access them, let us know if it's worth the $50 membership.  I would be willing to pay to hear some of the '72 cues in full and in the clear.  M2 ("Cue 71" on J-Shea's site) is one such example.

My birthday is two weeks from today, so this may be something I'd be interested in. :-)

Edit: Nevermind.  They added an "inventory" section since the last time I visited.  I think I'll pony up a six-month membership when it becomes available.

I'm going to sign up as well.  I've talked to Terry (the guy's name) several times and I have reason to believe that admission would be worth every penny.

I am going to sign up and not just for the Price cues.  He's work with The Cross-Wits alone makes me want to do it.  He's given us a lot of cues from shows I thought I would never hear.  And it is a shame that the actions few people, one can be easily named, have to make the rest of us honest folk pay.

As soon as I get my paycheck from work, Terry will be getting a little chunk of it. Not only will the "Cross-Wits" package be a treat, but he's also got one of my "holy grail" packages in the Vault: Score's [rather underrated!] package from "The Last Word".

Do I dare ask who this one is?

Well, it's bad enough we don't have Casey Buck to rely on anymore.

The reason they are behind a paywall like this is because people are lifting cues to put on their own sites.  While I understand the motives behind this move, it sucks because a select few are essentially ruining it for everyone.  Looks like all the music is going behind a wall as well.

Casey was getting them directly from his contact and it was okay to release them.  Others, one whose name is name is just initials (to answer to your question brtsimpson142), was pretty blantant about it.  If I were in Terry's position, I would have done the same thing.  Who knows what he's been holding back that will now get released.

Just initials?  Dunno...

...unless it's T.Q., a guy who's on my "dislike" roster because of the disclaimer on his front page?

According to TVPMM, "Added "The Price Is Right" 1972 Moog reel (46 cues) to the Vault".

Went to the site and searched around and couldn't find this anywhere...Went to the "Price is Right - USA" section and still has just the Tom Kennedy package, KT and a few others...

Could someone post a direct link to show where these are located?  Thanks so much!

In the banner, click on "Vault".

You'll see a screen to enter a name & password.  You can't set this up yet; it hasn't been introduced yet.
