cu2010 - $25,552

cu2010 bids a palindromic $25,552 on his Showcase, and BuddyTom, I hope you're ready to listen to your Showcase because Rich, Mike, and I are about to do another Hoedown!  With that said:  Laura Hall, take it away!

*Once again, Laura Hall plays on a piano that is marked “NOT A SHOWCASE PRIZE!”*

MIKE:  My name is Mikey, I really love this show,
I am really happy—our ratings didn’t blow;
when we’re number one, we’ll have ourselves a bash,
food, drinks, the whole nine yards, and lots and lots of CASH!

*The audience cheers as Hiroko walks on stage carrying $500 in cash*

RICH (pre-recorded):  It’s money, it’s moolah—call it what you want:  it’s $500 in cash!

JOHN:  I went to China and found a new girlfriend,
I didn’t want my summer to come to an end;
When we started to make love, I knew something was wrong,
She turned on her webcam, and I gave her the GONG!

*Riotous audience laughter ensues as Samantha models the webcam, and Mei models the gong.*

RICH (pre-recorded):  First, this QuickCam Orbit AF Webcam from Logitech uses a motorized lens and intelligent face-tracking technology to keep you in the picture.

Second, from Gongs Unlimited comes this 26-inch Chau Gong with Wuhan insignia!  This beautiful handcrafted Chinese instrument fills up a room with a rich, lovely sound that will make most audience members stand up and cheer!

RICH:  I am out of ideas to come up with a rhyme,
I can’t think of nothing—it’s wasting all my time;
So I went back home and took a long siesta;
When I woke up, I found out I got a new FIESTA!!

*The audience erupts with excitement as all four models--Anna, Hiroko, Mei, and Samantha model the car.*

RICH (pre-recorded):  It's the all-new 2011 Ford Fiesta S Sedan, comes with standard equipment including 5-speed manual transmission plus Convenience Package--the Ford Fiesta!

JOHN:  When I go off stage, I’ll go and kick some tail,
In Sonic Unleashed—but I hope I don’t fail;
At least I’m overjoyed that I got to first base,
But please don’t go over on this grand Showcase!

ON THIS GRAND SHOWCAAAAAAAAAAAAASE!!!!

*Raucous audience cheers and applause*

Wow!  That is SOME Showcase, and BuddyTom, I now await your bid on it!

^That's a great Showcase script, Bulldog!  Makes me wonder why they haven't done that on the actual show yet, what with a certain host (and announcer, depending on the day/year) out there now...

I smell spelling error. Bid no less than $14,000 and no more than $22,000. My vote would be $17,250

cu2010 - $25,552

BuddyTom - $14,500

Alright!  Tom has bid $14,500, and we're gonna start with him.  Tom, you had the cash, the webcam, the gong, and the Ford Fiesta.  You bid $14,500, and the actual retail price of your Showcase IS:

Fifteen thousand, six-hundred-nineteen ($15,619), for a difference of:

BuddyTom - $1,619 *DING*

$1,619--that's a good bid!  Now cu2010, you had trips to Rio de Janiero, Beijing, and Sydney.  Your bid was a palindromic $25,552.  Actual retail price:

*looks at pricetag*

Oh my God...

*reads tag slowly*

Wow...eight THOUSAND, seven hundred forty ($8,740)!

*BuddyTom's section goes nuts*

cu2010 - MEGA-FAIL!  *MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP*

That was painful, and BuddyTom has won!

*TPIR theme '72*

Tom, you've won two cars, a handbag--over $40,000 in cool stuff.  cu2010, I thank you very much for taking the time to be on this show, and with that said, I'm John Gillmen reminding everyone to spay and neuter your pets!  If you don't tune in next time, then we'll certainly miss ya--good night everyone!

*"I Like Texas" -Pat Green*

I knew those were ultra-random trips, but I wasn't sure if they were very expensive or very cheap.  So I passed 'em. :P

Still, I didn't think you could go to Rio, China, and Australia baggage class on OCD Air for under $10K total.

Yeah, I guessed "very expensive". Obviously, I was wrong...

...which ends my perfect HYO Showcase streak, too... :(

BTW, difference is $1,119, but it doesn't matter much.
Le Juste Prix, my childhood gameshow, and love TPIR.

HYO: $75,515 (SC 1/2 (loss against a DSW), PG 2/2, getting up on stage 2/8 - 2 FFBC)
CSS: 2 wins, 1 DSW, 2 WSD, $202,298, best bid $118.
