How many times do I have to tell you?! ZERO RULE, PEOPLE!!!

Kellie doesn't deserve to be facing the First Four Wall of Shame. Somebody else has been far more infamous today. I am officially inducting a new wing: the Stoner Section. The criteria are simple: anybody who was introduced to Contestant's Row in the first half, who bids $420 or some variant every single time and ultimately loses. A fresh green-hued granite wall is ready for the seemingly-inevitable induction of Laurie, who ought to be in Kellie's place on Contestant's Row: the green podium.

This is what we get with the decriminalization of marijuana in California.

Sixth IUFB: Stemware (Vera Wang; set of 48; ARP: $2,220) (Manuela)

Tracy Laurie HOLLY Kellie WINNER
$1005 $420

Says my roommate after Laurie's $420 salvo:

"You think smoking the Mary Jane will get you far in life?  No, it'll only get you stuck in Contestants' Row."

Having said that...I wouldn't be surprised if she was actually ON the stuff while on the show.

Might I add: 10 Chances was, once again, played terribly.  The door closing to hide the car was a nice touch, though.

Ms. Laurie and Mr. Steven overshadowed a pretty good show that had potential to be at least 5/6. Keep this up Mike, please (although maybe it's time to abandon the vintage cars - people think about actually using their winnings, not collecting them, and for cars this is a big deal. This goes back to cool/exotic but impractical, and cars are a major deal to be affected by this shift).

-Steven: He seemed to be on the right track but then fell for cheap luggage and abandoned something apparently no audience member currently knows... I'm still stymied on that.
-Laurie is self-explanatory. It would be a shame if this show was blacklisted, but you can't help but remember May 20th 2008.

Anyone besides me hoping that someone bidding before Laurie would bid $421?  I bet she still would've bid $420.  Can't say I'm upset she didn't make it up on stage :P.

I'm almost surprised that Pick a Number was won.  I really shouldn't be, though.

I should probably expect it by this point, but nearly $28,000 cars don't really belong in Let 'em Roll.  Making only one of the two guesses only slightly tricky doesn't help justify that.

Yes, what was with the bids of $420? I mean, is there some new "rule" that says you should bid $420 or something?

And wow...an honest-to-goodness Steve Urkel! Now that was unexpected!

I was hoping she was going to bid $1420 during the 6th IUFB.

She would have made it up on stage and bombed secret X.

Frank, I'm surprised. The 8 seemed to be the only logical choice for the spa, at least compared to the 4 or 5.

For only the third time in the 30 years that I've been watching "The Price Is Right", I'm declaring today's episode an Alan Smithee Episode®.   If it wasn't bad enough that we had Jeff Spicoli Laurie in CR, we had Steven Urkel, who played 10 Chances like the complete opposite of the Steven Urkel whom we all know and love from Family Matters.  And to top it all off... there was actually a SP in Secret X worth $69!  Today's episode was more excruciating than listening to the Carpenters' "Touch Me When We're Dancing".

My only positive comment on today's show is on the '57 Chevy.  Unlike some people, I enjoy seeing the occasional restored classic car on this show almost as much as I enjoy seeing the occasional BMW or a Viper.  But I do agree with Frank that such a high-price car seems out of place in a game (like Let 'Em Roll) that has high odds of a win.

My showcase bids:
Morocco--$19,107
Jet ski/truck--$29,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Fun show today, although Laurie was really annoying.

I'm really liking the frequent rotation that Danger Price is getting this year... and nice to see some normally-priced prizes in there too, instead of a bloated $10,000+ mess.

Most contestants are just so stupid with Ten Chances.

Yes, let's keep shows like this up. Even the interaction between Drew and Jeff didn't bother me today - it wasn't overly goofy or stupid, for the most part. If they have to hire one of these guys that are "Drew's buddies," definitely make it Jeff.
Quote
I find it ironic how the show tries to mix up the prizes and offer "cool" things like over-stuffed trips and impossible to price items to make the show less "predictable." Yet, the same things happen every single time a show airs.

Today's show started off well enough... too bad it all went to pot after Laurie came down. :P
