I'm sorry, and I think they are all great personalities, but the miking of the models has to go.  For me it does nothing but distract from the flow and delivers no benefit whatsoever to the program.

Cliffhangers was played amazingly well today. Too bad that was the only win for this show, but hopefully the second show went better.
No the second show was winless.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

They had to make that massive game pay the rent that was probably all of the seasons budget just to make that game.

Pricing game sets should not be coming out of the prize budget.

COMMENTS ON TPIR 09/21/10:

1.  FLIP FLOP:  I've never seen one of those underwater observation bubbles before.  I would also have guessed $6354 on the trip to Cancun...and would have lost.

2.  CLIFF HANGERS:  Nice job by Jessica on this game.  Here's how I would have gone about this:
PRIZE                              MY GUESS      STEPS
Libman Wonder Mop       $15                5
Juice Stand                     $25                4
Nesco food dehydrator   $35                10
TOTAL:  19 steps=WIN

3.  IUFB #5:  $10 for MP3 players?  What was Lindsay thinking?

4.  EASY AS 1-2-3:  When I saw $2449 come up on the Michael Amini Tides bar set, I knew Matthew was in trouble.

5.  STACK THE DECK:  On the third grocery item, the peanut butter was obvious...the $2.99 seemed right.  As for the Ford Focus, the first digit was obviously a 1, but that last digit fooled me.

6.  SHOWCASE:  Excellent bids by both players today.

MY SHOWCASE BIDS:
SC #1:  $31,000, WENT OVER
SC #2:  $23,000, WENT OVER

In the same way that the late show shouldn't have been a skunking, this one shouldn't have been 1/6.  I had wins in Flip Flop, Cliff Hangers, Eazy, and Stack the Deck.  I also got the right price in Temptation, but I would have walked with the gifts.  My only outright loss on the day was Double Prices.  That and in CSS...

I'm maintaining a middle-of-the-road opinion about the models talking.  I'm fine with them saying things that are related to the games and/or prizes (e.g. "Good luck").  But if it turns into a talk show environment with more chit-chat than gameplay, then there's a problem.

Temptation:  Good thing Kayla walked, but when is someone gonna win a car on this game?
Cliff Hangers:  Very well played! :-)
Stack The Deck:  I figured the 5 would get Bonnie!

Not too good overall, IMHO.

I really don't have a problem with the models having mics.  I think it's nice to actually hear their voices.

It seems like everyone in the audience had a win in Eazy. The right answer in Double Prices just looked nicer to me.

I thought the model's dresses looked really great in this episode.

That was a pretty cool Showcase win. I was expecting Carmelita to pull out the win instead. I'm glad she didn't, because that pizza Showcase seemed lame to me. Maybe it's because a similar Showcase showed in one of the last couple S38 broadcast recently.
