Complaining about the number of people ignoring you is only going to inevitably increase the number of people ignoring you.

That was what my comment ("I wonder...") was about ....

It's OK - sometimes things go over my head,  too.

And this is just plain... dumb.

And this is just plain... dumb.

And yet mrbrown's statement is just plain...accurate.  (And sensible.)

This still fascinates me regarding what people have to say about a "dumb" topic.

Interesting.

Agreed.

I (obviously?) don't have anyone on ignore, but it's a fairly common feature on several message boards I know of.  You don't get too many people complaining about it on other boards, though, which is why it always puzzles me when one of these threads comes up here.

(Also, I generally assume the one person who has me on ignore doesn't actually want to ignore me, they just wanted to see if they could actually ignore a moderator.  Helps me sleep better at night.  ;) )

If you really wanted to ignore a moderator, it's not too difficult. Just take a second to stop and think about why there is not an ignore button below their avatar, and how you could make one such button appear there.

\This is all speaking hypothetically, of course... :-)
\\All right, I've had my fun. You're back down to one ignore.

Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."
