Well, it was better than last year's Halloween show (with the two $4200 showcase bids). The theme was very well done. Terrific costumes. Jeff as the scarecrow was a nice touch. Let's just go ahead and name him permanent announcer. He's great.

Nice showcases, heartbreaking overbid.

I was screaming at the TV, literally, when Vaughn chose $706 as the Safe Crackers combination. That game was totally setup to be won. Most Expensive was kind of ridiculous. I think that was the most expensive set of designer apparel we've seen so far, $4000+. I mean, come on.

But...

Pay the Rent. What a mess! There was 0.0000000000% chance it was going to be won. Even getting to $10,000 was tough (so glad she bailed out). Those grocery items, most of which have never been on the show before, were crazy hard to price. Pay the Rent will eventually be retired. It's a trainwreck. The sooner the better.

I found it funny that during the 1st Item up for bids.... (2 iPads and 2 $500 iTunes gift cards) that contetants were bidding LESS than $1000....

I agree.  Jeff is doing a terrific job.  But, I do have a soft spot for Brad and am anxious to see how he performs once he has a few more shows under his belt.
Go fellow Buckeye Drew!

I think this was the best show during the Drew years.  Also Jeff looked just like Ray Bolger from The Wizard of Oz.
That wasn't a showcase, that was an infomercial.

Jeff is doing a good job as announcer.

I love Drew and Jeff costumers they look great on them.

Rich Fields Thanks Kirsten. I pick out and supply all of my own clothing. That light gray suit is hard to pair with shirts and ties... but I think the lavender shirt and purple patterned tie pulled it all together.

My Favorite Announcers On The Price Is Right Are Johnny Olson Rod Roddy Rich Fields Jeff Davis.

I Met And Took Two Pictures With Jeff Davis On May 24, 2012 He Is So Nice And Kind In Person.

Rich Fields said this about Drew Carey will always be the first to defend Drew (Carey). He's one of the most genuine, down to earth people in Hollywood that I've ever met. He was the first to come to me and tell me that the show was going in a different direction. He assured me it was not his decision to let me go and I believe him. No one else was open and honest about it, but Drew was. We've continued working together on different projects and we stay in regular touch. We'll be good friends well into the future.

They tried TOO hard to make everything perfectly work, which led to some bad prizes. The setups partially matched a special show: Goldy, Safey were fine but Renty was diabolical at best, Squeezy/ME were pretty hard, Coggy was OK actually too, so mixed overall I guess. The showcases though...she only got so close on 2 because it was a Charger. Today was not the day to sex up everything, especially what has been a static Genesis.

It was good, but last year was much better presentation-wise.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Here's the Pay The Rent combo (from bottom to top):

WD40: $4.99
Candy/Poppy Seeds: $5.25
Water/Juice: $5.58
Nuts: $6.29

This show was very good. The Wizard Of Oz theme worked well. The costumes and sets were great.

The line-up (Golden Road/Coming Or Going/Most Expensive/Safe Crackers (car)/Squeeze Play/Pay The Rent) was a little dull and obviously that's because they played Pay The Rent and Golden Road in one show.

The showcases were relatively good, except I hated the green Genesis. The lime green color was butt-ugly. Fit the theme but ugly, nonetheless.

I was expecting someone to be dressed as the Wicked Witch of the West, maybe for the showcases. Oh well.

Liked the pages dressed as the guards guarding the safe in Safe Crackers.

I'm glad they put a trip display on the turntable. I wondered if they were ever going to do that.

I liked the display set-up for Most Expensive. When the set designers want to really go all out, they do and do it well.

There is no human being on planet earth that could get that right unless by accident. Worst. Game. Ever.

This is the best Halloween Special for me. I like The Wizard of OZ and all in the show remember this story. Perfect!
Drew is perfect as Lion!

I scared that Golden Road used only for special show: Love Road (2/14), Mom Road, etc...

Basing a Halloween show around this movie was creative but simply just couldn't work that well, that was the big flaw.

Are we still doing contestant searches? I ask because we seem to be having ALOT of Maxim type girls. Ashley today is an example. Does anyone think a normal Price contestant would dress like that even on Halloween? Or look like that for that matter. Just screams picked weeks beforehand
