Clock Game Makeover?

And you know, a digital clock really wouldn't be that bad if they drew it out to the hundredths of a second. You could easily get just as much excitement, if not more, from a win where the contestant wins with half a second left on the clock displayed as "00.50" versus an arrow pointing to a dot on the clock.

I'd assume it'd be flash or API-based but I'd bet a pretty penny that whatever chyron system they're using can do it.  Ross' Xpression can do it, I'd bet VizRT, Chyron and the Deko could do it as well.
