This show was pedestrian and was piss-poor for a "Best Prizes of..." show.
I must say that seeing Most Evil with three massive prizes was nice.
Rat Race was awesome and it was good to see Freeze Frame get a win.

Showcases......FAIL.

If I hadn't seen a spoiler video beforehand, I would almost have expected Check-Out to show up in that spot for the T-Bird (where the heck is Check-Out anyway?).
I think it was played during the last days of November. Going a month without it seems odd.

Well, at least we know that we'll see it in the New Year and I'll see The Price Is Right in 2011 with Paula Dean.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.

Check-Out has been getting played about every four weeks this year.  It's about a week overdue right now, taking into account that this week only had one episode.

There was an extra stereo system in there this time, and your prices aren't exact.

Regardless, we have seen cars well north of 50k offered this season, so the point still stands.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

How did Stan pick Luis? I'm not trying to hate on the guy, but I would never pick someone who's nervous and just standing there smiling.

Nothing except SC2 was away from "normal".

Random trip to Tuscany: evil and fail.
Plinko: I loved their Windows screensaver FAIL. 10k even is pretty rare.
Any Number: Rats!
Most Expensive: didn't see it.
Freeze Frame: take that, Mike!
Rat Race: take that twice, Mike!
Showcases: FAIL. Like they had to give away that BMW.
Le Juste Prix, my childhood gameshow, and love TPIR.

HYO: $75,515 (SC 1/2 (loss against a DSW), PG 2/2, getting up on stage 2/8 - 2 FFBC)
CSS: 2 wins, 1 DSW, 2 WSD, $202,298, best bid $118.

I've thought about this for a while and have come to the following conclusion about today's program.

Try harder.

I really don't care what kind of shape the budget is in - today's program should have been one to "pull out all the stops".   No excuse not to play Golden Road.  Heck, you probably could have shoehorned in Golden Road, Plinko, Any Number, and thrown the T-Bird in as a third car without any trouble at all.  Yes, the DSW probably wrecked the budget, but that shouldn't be a problem.
They can be close at the top, too.

The DSW taped a month earlier, anyway.

Am I hearing things or was the prize cue for Most Expen$ive the theme from The Tony Danza Show?  (Nice directing by Rich to get George in the mirror of the steam shower by the way.)

If it was, then Tony Danza is a wise man. That cue is the stuff of legend... I even hear there's a music video featuring it on YouTube.  ;-)

Yeah, that was pretty cool. I'm glad they didn't feel to hide an amputee. I don't really follow surfing, but I do know that she's a legit pro. It's an inspiring story.

Plinko:  Finally, someone hit the $10,000 slot!
Any Number:  @#$%^& audience!!
Most Expen$ive:  Perhaps they should considering changing this game to Least Expen$ive.
Rat Race:  What an awesome win!
Showcases:  I thought Paulina's showcase was more expensive than it was.
