Very, Very fun show! Definitely a landmark event.
The legendary Mark Goodson, of course, the master creator of TPiR, a living legend and pioneer !
Of course, Mr. Goodson sadly passed away in the early 1990s but he left behind his wonderful TV game show creations to continue to churn throughtout the 90s and into the 2000s and at the 2009 Game Show Awards, "Jeopardy's" Alex Trebek (who hosted a few NBC daytime shows created by Mr. Goodson) and his former "Classic Concentration" co-host, Mr. Goodson's own daughter Marjorie Goodson-Cagale, paid a very special, yet emotional tribute to Mr. Goodson
which moved evryone who was there on that special night.

I was amazed how quickly the models quickly changed showcase costumes, Dian from her gown to the sequined red bathing suit and couldn't resist flirting w/ Bob a little, Holly from the train conductor costume to her stylish white evening dress, and Janice from the train engineer costume to the sea captain costume,
wow!  I know I couldn't do that.

I was also a little surprised that the old green 4-digit Temptation board was still being used at that point because I thought the pink 5-digit Temptation board was introduced during those 1986 primetime specials because I know games like Danger Price, Any Number, and Lucky Seven recieved major makeovers at that point.  And how about that old Pick a Pair setup w/ the ferris wheel and on top of that, carnival music was being played during the game, that was cool !

I'm not exactly sure when Rod started wearing his famous sequined jackets but that trend probably started somewhere in the early 90s, he actually had those custom made for him all the way from Thailand !

I thought this episode should've been on that "Best of TPiR" dvd because this was a landmark episode, yet memorable but who knows, maybe in honor of their upcoming 40th anniversary, maybe CBS will air like a weeks worth of classic TPiRs the week before, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much.
"Say whatever you want to about me, my artwork, etc, I don't really care.
If you don't want me or even like me, then I'm DAMN sure am not gonna let myself want OR
like YOU !"

^ That's my message to all you haters and people who are negative when it comes to me.

This is an old, old misconception that we only recently disproved.  The only game whose set changed on the '86 Specials was Any Number; Danger Price and Lucky $even had already changed by the end of Season 14, and Temptation stayed green until April of 1988 and didn't offer a 5-digit car until April of 1993.

Late '80s, actually.

I know Rod would do this all the time beginning in the mid 90's, but I've seen an episode in about 1989 where he wears just a coloured suit and a shirt. Was this a regular thing back in those days, and if so, how long did it last for?
