Nice recap, Steve!  Over $2400 for a Chevy Vega; now that was a pretty cheap car at the time.
I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your love, affection and loyalty to me, drew, the models and.... The Price is Right....thank you for being such a "Loyal Friend & True". -Rich Fields (in an e-mail sent to me on 3/17/2010)

Thanks, but I can't take credit for it -- I didn't write these.

Wow, thanks to the person who wrote this!  :-D Price breakdowns and everything.

Now that we know the price of that Spiegel TV, we can get the price of all those other prizes from week 1.  Cool!

EDIT: Based on the price of that Gibson freezer at $378, I bet there's a $500 version of that TV, too (the prize package I'm using totaled $878).

Ouch! The only prize Ada got wrong and it was the bonus square!

When did they discover the error on Clock Game and did they announce it during the credits?

Well, let's be honest -- we really don't know if it was in the credits.  The episode hasn't been seen since September 11, 1972.

Oh c'mon Steve, I am sure there is SOMEONE on here who would profess to having seen the episode and VIVIDLY remembering one way or the other. It was only 34+ years ago... :)

How could the clock have been off by 8 seconds without them noticing?

Heck if I know.  I'd love to see a video of it, myself.

Dude, even if you HAD seen the clip, your statement makes no sense whatsoever.

Guess you're right.  I just said no because the recap says "after" the show.

I'm curious how they missed 8 seconds.  Was the clock going too fast?  Did they not stop it at the right time?

The clip you watched was the third playing of Clock Game.  That should have been obvious from the fact that the contestant that day didn't even get to bid on the second prize.
